Horace McSwain Robison Obituary
Horace "Mac" McSwain Robison September 28,2017. Mac was born in Paris, TN on March 27,1932; the son of George Dan and Nelle Cavitt McSwain Robison. He was a 1954 graduate of Vanderbilt University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Episilon and Alpha Phi Omega. Post-graduation he served as a LT. and aviator in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. Following his military service, Mac worked in the pharmaceutical industry with Baxter Laboratories in a variety of sales and sales management positions. He entered the real estate profession as a Broker and VP of the Land Department of Harry Norman, Realtors before establishing his own firm Mac Robison and Associates. During that period he also taught continuing education classes in real estate for over 15 years. He was an active volunteer in many civic organizations including the Northside (Buckhead) and the Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA where he served as a board member. He was also active in the Buckhead Business Association, the Boy Scouts of America, coaching youth basketball and soccer, and was an instructor for the AARP Safe Driving program. Mac was a long time member of Northside United Methodist Church, where he served in many capacities including a delegate to the Annual Conference.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother James Robison. Surviving Mac is his loving wife of 62 years, the former Alice E Stockell; his brothers George and Barton; daughter and son-in-law, Nelle and Win Cooke; his sons and daughters-in-law, Bert and Beth Robison and John and Elena Robison; four grandchildren, Amy Stanley, Rachel Inman, Carla and Marc Robison; and four great-grandchildren. The Celebration of Life Service will take place at Northside United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 3rd with a reception in the Fellowship Hall to follow.
