Jack PITTMAN Obituary
PITTMAN, Jack L. Jack L. Pittman age 81 of Roswell passed away September 12, 2017. Mr. Pittman was a 4th generation lifelong resident of Roswell. He attended Roswell Elementary School on Mimosa Blvd. and graduated with the Roswell High School class of 1954 when it was located on Hwy. 9 in Roswell. He played high school football and worked at Feckoury's Grocery. He served in the Air Force and was a member of the Roswell Masonic Lodge #165. His favorite movie was Remember the Titans as he played football for Coach Bill Yoast. Mr. Pittman was preceded in death by his granddaughter, McKay Pittman; brother and sister-in-law, Elbert & Claudia Ellington; brother-in-law, Billy Vickery; nephew, Chris Vickery. He is survived by his wife, Susan L. Pittman of Roswell; children, Sam & Jane Pittman, Gary Pittman all of Alpharetta, Michelle Pittman of Cumming, Jay Gleason of Hermosa Beach, CA., Amy & Ty Everette of Aspen, CO.; grandchildren, Sydney Pittman, Harley Pittman and Mason Pittman; sister, Mary Lou Vickery of Roswell; nieces and nephews, Byron & Connie Ellington of Plano, TX., Cathy Vickery of Sandy Springs, Cindy Vickery of Roswell, and Cheryl & AV Hannah of Cumming. He is also survived by all of his friends in the "Roswell Gang." In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:00pm at Roswell Cemetery. The Pittman family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, Roswell, 770-645-1414. www.northsidechapel.com.
