James WEIGEL Obituary
WEIGEL, James Michael James Michael Weigel of Marietta, GA, passed away on September 10, 2017. Jimmy, as he was known to family and friends, possessed a never-ending sense of humor and the ability to put a smile on the faces of those around him. He lived the majority of his life in Sandy Springs, GA. Jimmy was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast and in his younger days always found the time to coach Pop Warner football and to his delight often won. The lives of those around him are truly enriched by his ability to take whatever life threw at him in stride, keep a smile on his face and continue forward. Jimmy was a lifelong Episcopalian and his family gives thanks for the blessings of his life. Love and miss you Pops. Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, Farris Deytans Weigel and Monica Lewis Weigel. Jimmy is survived by his wife Deborah H. Weigel; daughter, Melissa D. Kilpatrick, of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Benjamin Westcott 'Wes' and wife Caroline, of Nashville TN; grandchildren, Goodwin Kilpatrick, Kiley Kilpatrick, Wilder Weigel, Wesley Weigel; James Fields Weigel; step-son, Hank Duke. In addition, Jimmy is survived by his two brothers, Robert Weigel (Patsy) of Nashville, TN, Roger Weigel of Roswell, GA, his sister, Mrs. Monica W. Riffe, of Ponte Vedra, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at St. Catherine's Episcopal Church, 571 Holt Rd. NE, Marietta, GA 30068 on September 16th at 11 am. Memorial donations may be made be to the Center for the Visually Impaired, 739 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta GA 30308.
