McNAIR, Jane Louise Jane Louise Fitzpatrick McNair died Sunday, October 22, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services will be private at Riverside Cemetery in Macon with Dr. Richard Kremer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Atlanta Humane Society, 981 Howell Mills Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 or to local charities. Born in Macon on August 8, 1944, Louise attended the Vineville Baptist Church, Joseph Clisby Elementary School (Vineville Academy Fine Arts Magnet School), and A.L. Miller High School. She was a piano pupil of Gladys Pinkston in the Preparatory Department of Wesleyan College Conservatory of Fine Arts. Louise attended Queens College, (Queens University) in Charlotte, North Carolina, and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mercer University. She was a member of Phi Mu sorority at Mercer and the Junior League of Macon. Known for her beautiful smile and friendly nature, Louise was a favorite among her Mercer University classmates. Spending most of her life in Atlanta, Georgia, Louise was employed by the Sun Trust Bank and Harry Norman Realtors. She was a member of the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association in Sandy Springs, and was a passionate supporter of The Atlanta Humane Society, motivated by her deep love for all animals. Louise was the granddaughter of Mamie Louise Crockett Odom, Sherman Edgar Odom, Mildred Wood Fitzpatrick and Benjamin Smith Fitzpatrick Jr. of Macon. She was the daughter of Jane Odom Fitzpatrick Huckabee and Benjamin Smith Fitzpatrick lll. Louise is survived by her son, Benjamin Fitzpatrick McNair, (Catherine Elaine Smith McNair), a grandson, Benjamin Metts McNair, and cousins, Dr. Linda Ann Odom of Nashville, Tennessee, Hugh Rader (Patricia) of Forsyth, Crockett Rader Sellers, (Barry), and Richard Rader, (Wimberly) of Macon.
