Met Joe at Gainesville paper, we remained friends over the years. Eventually we lost track of one another. I bought his cookbook at the Jasper Bargain Barn and ran him down and renewed our friendship. Last visited with he and his lovely bride over lunch at Greenwoods in Roswell. May The Almighty Lord hold all of the family in the hollow of His Hand and comfort all of you.

Mr. Dabney was a wonderful man and we really enjoyed knowing him these past 10 years as our neighbor. He was always fun and interesting to talk to at parties, sweet to the kids at Halloween, and supportive of our community food drive. We were so sad to hear the news of his passing and will miss him. Our thoughts are with his family. Wishing you all comfort and peace. Kindest regards, the Kahn family

Goodbye, Mr. Kershaw. My heart is heavy. I'll always remember, with a big smile on my face (but never as bright or as big as yours always was) your special greeting for me of "What's going on, Miss Kershaw!"

You were a bright spot in so many lives. It was a privilege and an honor to be your friend.
