Joseph WESLEY Obituary
WESLEY, Sr., Joseph Tull Joseph Tull Wesley, Sr., 76, of Atlanta passed away on December 21, 2017. Born in Savannah, Georgia August 29, 1941, Joe was a member of the first kindergarten class and a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church. He attended E. Rivers School in Atlanta, graduated Darlington School in Rome, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Joe was married to Beverley Blick in 1961. Married 56 years, they had two children, Joseph Tull Wesley, Jr. and Mary Cooper Wesley and lived in Kentucky, Ohio, California, Connecticut, and Georgia. Joe served the Boy Scouts of America for twenty plus years including ten years as District Chairman in Douglas County. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce and Development Authority. He was raised a Master Mason, Fayette Lodge, Rockville, Connecticut and was a member of The Atlanta Athletic Club and The 'Buckhead Boys'. Joe held a Broker's License with the Georgia Real Estate Commission and the South Carolina Real Estate Commission. He spent many years in industrial sales traveling internationally, owned and operated Wesley Construction Company, and found his real passion in real estate and development. Joe is preceded in death by his parents: Katherine Cooper and Terrell Constantine Wesley, Jr. and his brother Terrell Constantine Wesley, III. He is survived by his wife, Beverley, his children, Joseph Tull Wesley, Jr, (wife Stacie Reed Wesley) and Mary Cooper Wesley, grandchildren, Abigail Elizabeth Reid, Sarah Nicole Reid, and Blake Warren Reid, Jr., his sister, Sidney Wesley Boozer, his brother, William Cooper Wesley (wife Victoria Wesley), brother in law, John Blick, and five nieces and nephews. A celebration of Joe's life will be held Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at 11:30 am in Winship Chapel, First Presbyterian Church, 1328 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30309 with a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to of Georgia, 2859 Paces Ferry Road, SE, Suite # 725, Atlanta, GA 30339.
