Leo J. BLASCZYK Obituary
BLASCZYK, Leo J. Mr. Leo Johnny Blasczyk, age 85, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018. One of 14 children, he was born April 21, 1932 in Pulaski, Wisconsin. Mr. Blasczyk was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country in the Korean War. He retired from Lockheed with 35 years of service. He enjoyed working on old tractors, antiques, metal working, cutting firewood, and anything he could work on with his hands. Mr. Blasczyk was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Blasczyk; his parents, Anton and Anna Blasczyk; a son, Charles Blasczyk; four brothers; two sisters; granddaughter, Christy; and great-grandson, Tristen. He is survived by his sons, David, Daniel and Vincent; daughter, Melinda; brothers, Mike, Tom, Jake and Louis; sisters, Teresa, Barbara and Angie; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family, friends, and a special mention of the caregivers, Cindy Queen and Laurie Luther, who selflessly gave of their time for the comfort of Mom and Dad. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Pastor Gary Tanner officiating.
