Lois Pollock Obituary
POLLOCK, Lois Luecht Lois Luecht Pollock, 96, of Marietta passed away on December 3rd. She was born in St. Johns, Michigan, the daughter of William & Minna Luecht. She graduated from Michigan State University where she began her 75-year association with Kappa Kappa Gamma and met her husband, Traverse K. Pollock. They were married in 1944 while he served as a Navy Officer. His duties led her to live in New York City, Miami, and Cuba. The couple settled in Jackson, Michigan, then Vero Beach, Florida, Dublin, Georgia, and finally, Marietta in 1980. There Lois worked at Northside Realty, joined the First United Methodist Church of Marietta and was active at Pinetree Country Club. Lois was a loving and caring wife and mother. She was an avid golfer as participant and spectator. She was always up for a game of bridge, especially in her later years. Lois and Trav enjoyed travel all over the US and world and had many happy memories of their trips. Survivors include her son, John Pollock and his wife, Mary of Alpharetta, GA; plus grandchildren and family, Jeffrey Pollock, Kevin Zahradnik, Hunter Weber, Ashley Fowler and Jackson Fowler. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years and their son, David Pollock. Visitation will be at 12:30 pm Saturday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with Service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. 770-428-1511.
