1920 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
WARLICK (Stokes), Nanalie "Nan" Nanalie (Nan) S. Warlick 97 of Dunwoody, Georgia passed away September 22, 2017 of natural causes. Nan was born on September 13, 1920 in Florence, SC and grew up in Bishopville, SC She was a graduate of Winthrop University, SC. After the beginning of WWII she joined the Women's Army Corps in 1945. In October of 1946 she met Captain William (Bill) A. Warlick in Fort Bragg, NC and the two were married 3 weeks later. She was preceded in death by William Warlick, LtC. Retired who passed away in August, 1999. They were married over 52 years. During that time they travelled to many places in the world as part of Bill's military career before settling in the Atlanta area. Nan and Bill were long time members of Dunwoody United Methodist Church. In addition to raising a family, Nan was an avid golfer and tennis player. She also enjoyed playing bridge with friends. Nan leaves behind two sons, James A. Warlick (Dunwoody, GA) and Jeffrey W. Warlick (Peachtree City, GA). She is also survived by two grandchildren, Andrew James Warlick (Restin, VA) and Jackie Marie Warlick (Sandy Springs, GA). Two other grandchildren preceded her in death: Heather A. Warlick and Andrew R. Warlick. In addition she also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 1 PM at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
