Doc., you helped my spiritual growth through your teaching. You always inspired me and demystified all of the scriptural comlexities for a beginner. I remember on so many occasions while driving and pulling over to the curb to take notes from your teachings. I use most of your illustrations in my Sunday School Classes to help other believers in Jesus Christ in their sojourn on earth. Without a doubt, you fought a distinct fight and when you were ushered in the presence of God, I am convinced that all heavenly host applauded when God said "thou good and faithful servant." You may be gone, but your legacy lives on, and is helping to change lives for Christ. Rest In Peace Brother!

Ravi knew the secret of loving people. He listened. He showed respect. And he brought truth and hope. How lonely the earth is, for him. But how grateful I am that he is in the very presence of the One who used Ravi so mightily, to make others homesick. So grateful for Ravi. Thank you to his family for sharing him with thousands.

Ven though we haven't met, you have been serving as our teacher and church father for both my parents and then my family and I for the past 15 years. You shaped my wife and I to be fervent as child evangelists.
We will greatly miss you but know that you had a time and season according to God's plan.
To your family, you are in our thoughts.
God bless you and keep you Zacharias family.

Ravi Zacharias touched so many with his genuine love for Christ and His Children. What a wonderful man of God who lived his beliefs and defended his faith with brilliance and humility. He is an incredible role model for the world and he will be missed but he lives on in the presence of our Savior that he brought so many to in his life. Thank you Ravi!!!

I am deeply touched by Ravi Zacharais' humbleness and gentle spirit, his love for Jesus and compassion for all people - including the vulnerable. He was an excellent example of a family man, as well as an ambassedor representing and impacting the Kingdom. A good mentor and father figure. I am inspired to seek deeper ... and to embrace life with a greater sense of belonging, commitment and wonder.

Our condolences go out to the Zacharias family. I am sad and heartbroken a great man of God has departed this earth, yet I am at peace that he is with his creator. Wonderful wealth of knowledge, his teachings helped me through my philosophy class. Enjoyed listening to him and always checked when he would be coming to Chicago, but he is now walking the streets of gold. May his legacy continue to live on, from generation to generation.

I have only been listening to Ravi's messages and sermons since late last year in my quest to having a deeper relationship with God. It was like I stumbled upon a gold mine. His wisdom and knowledge of God's word was incredible. His confidence when questioned about God by athiest etc, was so convicting. I desire to have faith and knowledge of God's word just like Ravi. May his soul rest in peace. To his family - may God wrap you in his arms and comfort you at this sad sad time. I feel like I have lost a brother.

We are truly saddened at Ravi's passing. He used to be my radio company as I would leave home very early heading to work. Those were some of the most beautiful times of fellowship. Our hearts go out to the Zacharias family in this time of great sadness. You're in our thoughts and prayers. We ask the Lord to bless you and strengthen you through this time and in the days ahead.

Our family has been blessed by Ravi Zacharias and RZIM for decades. Back in the '70s when our girls were young, we would tune in to the 'Let My People Think' radio broadcast on Sunday mornings. We'd listen while we were getting ready for church. We appreciated Ravi's clear explanation of gospel truths. The things he said rang true in our hearts and helped our young faith to grow. Over the years we've heard and read many other things that he was involved in.

My husband and I have been greatly encouraged and greatly blessed by Ravi's ministry. We're sad that he is no longer with us, but also happy that he is now home with the Lord. We know that we'll see him again in Heaven one day.

Dear Zacharias Family,
May you know the world is praying for you! I ache at the thought of no more new thoughts from Ravi and can only imagine your aching as well. I loved him and rejoice he is with his Savior. He loved Jesus so much you can only be happy for him. I ache but it is a selfish and worldly reaction. I strive to be as humble as he embodied our Lord the humblest of all. Thank you for sharing his memorial service. God will use it and many on the fence of listening to Ravi will be saved to God Be The Glory! He belongs to the ages now....Martha

Although I never had the opportunity to meet Ravi Zacharius I was able to attend several of his lectures and services. I have read most of his writings and daily listened to his podcasts each day looking forward to new questions and deeper insights. I must confess this man influenced and mentored me in such a quiet and yet profound way. Specifically, to remember that behind every question is a questioner and as such to speak to the person and not just the topic. Enduring the current generation of Religious leaders and Philosophical thinkers this man carried the image of Christ in the most modern form. Of all of the stories he told the one I most remember concluded, speaking of Jesus, You wear his coat well encouraging us be like Jesus and look like Jesus so the world will know when they see Jesus. Thank you Lord for this amazing teacher, evangelist, apologist, and friend. In the words of Charles Wesley - God buries His workmen but carries on His work." Thank you Ravi Zacharius for your good works that will forever Glorify our Father in Heaven. Blessings to your family in every way along with our prayers of comfort and courage. You my friend are and will be greatly missed.

I am truly saddened with the passing of Ravi Zacharias. It was always a dream to meet you in person and I am heartbroken I never will. Your kindness and compassion radiates through your entire being. You are finally with the Lord whom you have so passionately defended and taught about for decades. I am so grateful for all your teachings and thoughts. I hope I can strive to have a touch of the faith and wisdom you have. I pray for peace for your family and I know you will continue to be an inspiration to me, my family and to us all.

Ravi you were such an encouragement to me. I have sadly only come across your teaching in the last few years but you have helped me renew my faith - your graciousness, your gentleness and compassion shone through in every word. I would have loved to have met you and learnt how to know your Lord with the same depth and sincerity. I, who have to never met you, feel such a sadness. I cannot begin to imagine what your so obviously beloved wife and family must be feeling. I just pray they will know those everlasting arms cradling them and enveloping them as they feel their loss. Ravi you - and your wife sacrificed so much to tell so many people about your Lord - thank you. Maybe, just maybe, one day we will meet.

Lots of love ❤

Ravi,
I took EVERY WORD, EVERY TEACHING, and EVERY Prayer into my being! You taught me to see and bring out "The Best", in people, and to pray for the other things, which would hold a person back.

I believe that the amount of Wisdom you have is far more than that of King Solomon. Your compassion for the Word of God, The Love of The Father, and The Power of The Holy Spirit, always humbled me and left me in awe! Your ministry touched me and impacted my life in a great way.

I Honor You, Sir! And I thank God that He brought you into my life. You are now fully healed and the pain & suffering are gone. We will meet again, in Eternity, my friend & mentor!

Your message, mannerism, sense and style of presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ pierced and captured my heart many years ago. Off recent, we have been gripped by many sermons and the defence of the Gospel. we are indeed thankful for YouTube and radio stations around the world. As a South African of Indian descent, your many stories of India and your travels around the world was so beautifully and well told. I recall your many stories especially about the British journalist Malcolm Muggeridge (Apology if spelling is wrong). and his experience with the Indian lady in the river Ganges who was a leprous woman ... "it was my heart that was ugly, not her". I love the explanations of the four absolutes; evil, justice, forgiveness and love - al came together in one moment of time, on a mount called Calvary. We receive a daily broadcast on our local radio station - Impact Radio in Pretoria South Africa. He will sorely missed on earth but he has completed his race. May he enjoy his eternal rest with Jesus. I so loved to meet him in person or be in a live meeting/ audience but we will meet some day. I am a third generation Indian South African, my grandparents hail from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, South India.

Oh, how I loved your love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. How I shudder of the thought of you not being in this world telling us how to proclaim his word - truth- . Then I realize how much you are loved by others like your immediate family as well as other Christians all around the world. The Holy Spirit was alive in you and shed deep intimate piercing of one's soul. I know it's true- like the White House secretary said, you live on - your words proclaiming truth - God's holiness & truth - Jesus Christ s supremacy! I loved you at the first time I heard you speak - telling of the only thing that gave you life on your bed - hearing of Jesus Christ loving you and dying for you to live - really live. Thank you Ravi Zacharais, thank you , Lord Jesus Christ , I can live because you live still in me as I mourn deeply for the lost of a true beautiful man. Please Lord - save my husband . Please Lord Jesus.

My heart is heavy to have just learned that earlier this week, the world lost yet another giant of the faith, a prince and gentleman, Dr. Ravi Zacharias. Though heaven is rejoicing those left behind are saddened at this loss. Few could expound on the God's word like RZ! I believe he impacted many for the kingdom of God.
I believe upon your arrival Our Lord said, well done, my son, enter in!

I have listened to Ravi for so long, at least the early 80's when I was pulled in so many directions, raising a family and working. Sometimes life was a blur. But every time I heard Ravi's voice, I had to stop and listen and absorb the wisdom he shared with gentleness and compassion. He is my mentor and friend, and I feel a deep sense of loss, although I am thankful that I will one day see him face to face.
His life was Christ, and his death has been gain. Well done, Ravi.
God bless his wonderful family who have so generously shared him with the world for so long.

THE LAMP OF PEACE

I remember the lamp turned on for me,
From a gentle voice of Chennai,
His words that fed millions upon millions,
A lamp for all to see and hear.

The lamp beared the news of the gospel,
From a gentle voice of Chennai,
How the scholars and the learned were amazed,
A lamp for all to see and hear.

He was a humble servant of Jesus,
Making disciples of all nations,
Something he did not take lightly,
How he loved his family and his Lord.

We are better for his words,
Though we weep his death,
A gentle voice from Chennai,
He now stands in Paradise,
Oh good and faithful servant,
We shall see him again,
The lamp.
From Chennai.
A lamp for all to see and hear.
--B. Leyva

For the last seventeen years of my life I have been walking with the Lord. Shortly after my born again moment, I came to know of Ravi's ministry. Ever since I came across his path, I can hardly think of a day going by where I did not hear some type of material from him. Whether it was a sermon, a debate, a speaking engagement, and even taking a course from RZIM school of apologetics during a college program which desire was sparked by Ravi.
Ravi's voice will forever live in the minds of those who heard him speak. It is almost impossible to not have been challenged by his brilliance, but more importantly, challenged by his humility.
May your mansion in the Father's house match your ability to love His flock!

The world in the Christian church has lost a great giant of the faith in Jesus Christ I was privileged to hear Ravi speak once at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa
With that Indian accent and some Indian wordsI shall never forget that beautiful smile with amazing intellect covered with love for all people. I wonder and am so glad he could speak with such acute analysis of every religion and skepticism of past or present. He seemed to have memorized all his quotes. What struck me most was his understanding of even atheism with compassion and treatment of all with value. My heart was attracted to all his talks on Let my people think and learned so much for my Christian journey. My favorite book was his Jesus among other gods that struck me so deepsuch a book for seeing the uniqueness and superiority of Jesus in a fresh and creative way that really astounomy mind. I have wept so much of his passing and pray the Lord will be close and comfort his family. His best sermon for me was on Ezekiel 10.
I know he is in heaven with the one He loved but so how I miss him

Ravi has left a huge void for us on earth. I loved listening to his messages, in fact, I want to hear all he has ever shared. My heart is heavy for his family.

I am indeed saddened to hear of the passing of this great man of God in a time when we needed him most. But God knows that Ravi needed to come home now. His work on earth is done and he needs rest. May his soul rest in peace and may I get the chance to meet him when the Lord calls me home. He has been such a an eloquent speaker that never ceased in his many talks and sermons, to expound the fact, that Jesus is the only answer to today's problems. I loved listening to him, and was always impressed and awed with such an ability to quote passages from memory. He was an amazing person and will be greatly missed. My condolences to his loving wife Margie, his children, and extended family, during this time of loss. May the God of heaven, whom he loved and preached about, comfort you all until you meet again around the throne of God in heaven. May God be with you, May His face shine upon you, and may He give you all His peace. God bless. Be comforted that he is at rest.

What a wonderful man, so Blessed. He was like Moses whose face was radiant in light. You knew his intellect was given by God.
May he rest in the arms of our Savior......

I grew up in a christian home and so i grew up loving God. As i grew older i realized had so many questions for the father i loved so much but not many could answer until i found Ravi. I learned so much about God an His wisdom through this man and how to seek my own answers in the word of God. Thank you Ravi for allowing God to work through you to save so many.

I regret not being able to meet you here on earth but i am confident we will meet in Heaven

Thank you Ravi, for your inspired teaching. You've rekindled the flame for apologetics in my life. You were and are a gift to the Body. Praying comfort for your lovely family even as the world rejoices that you are now home with your Savior. We know that He has welcomed you with well done.' I never got to see you here personally, but I'll look for you when I get there!

I first met Ravi in 1980 while attending Dalat School Sandycroft in Penang, Malaysia. As a student who attended chapel services for Spiritual Emphasis Week with Ravi speaking during that week we were invited to spend time with him in his bungalow on campus to discuss spiritual matters with him. I spent every moment I could with Ravi and looking back to that time I can honestly say that no one profoundly affected my life spiritually as he did then.

God bless you my dear friend and when you have a moment, please give my love to my missionary evangelist father Daniel Michael Bogdan (another great and powerful man of God) who is up there in heaven with you. Farewell...we shall one day meet again on that distant shore.

I heard on YouTube Ravi Zacharias today without knowing he was gone. I saw it by chance tonight when going through YouTube again. I couldn't believe it and went on line to see if it was true. I'm very sad about his passing. My condolences go to the his family and for all of us who never met him but loved and appreciated his talent and ministry. I hope to meet him in heaven one day as I never had the chance here. And there will be no separation or sadness.
