Roberta FOREMAN Obituary
FOREMAN, Roberta Lewis Roberta Joan Lewis Foreman, 78, of Dunwoody died December 26, 2017. Mrs. Foreman was born in North Tonawanda, NY on April 17, 1939, the only child of the late George and Edith Lewis. She graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School and attended Univ. of Arizona and Univ. of Buffalo, where she met her husband Phil. Phil and Roberta moved to Atlanta, raising four children while owning Ansley Mall Bookstore. After retiring in 1992, Roberta became involved in many community and charitable organizations. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi, volunteered with the Dunwoody Library, and helped coordinate CHoA's annual Festival of Trees. Roberta loved books, animals, food and wine, theater and concerts, and travelling with family and friends. She had a special love of Arizona, where she and Phil had a second home. She leaves behind a family that will miss her devotion to her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. We rest in the assurance that she is at peace in the presence of the Lord. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Phillip Foreman; sons Peter (Sue), Richard (Christy), and Christopher (Traci) Foreman; daughter Katherine (Tim Brown) Foreman; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
