Roxanne Hedin Obituary
HEDIN (nee Brosteau), Roxanne Marie Roxanne Marie Hedin (nee Brosteau) passed away at the age of 80 on September 24, 2017. Born October 21, 1936 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, she was a very popular member of the Class of 1954 at St. Joseph's Academy. She then received her degree from St. Mary's Nursing School in Milwaukee, WI in 1957, and a degree in Public Health from Marquette University in 1958. She married Ronald Hedin in December 1958.. She had 5 children, Paul, Catherine, Mark, John, and Michael, and has 5 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Resided in Brookfield, Wisconsin until November 1979, when she relocated with her family to Dunwoody, Georgia. She was an active member of the congregation at All Saints Catholic Church, where she won the Woman of the Year Award in 1997. Played bridge, tennis, and golf at the Dunwoody Country Club, where she once won the Women's Nine Hole Championship. Was active in the Dunwoody Women's Club, where Roxanne once held the office of Treasurer and was an integral part of the annual Dunwoody Home Tour. Most recently, she was known as "Three No Trump Roxanne" at all bridge tables. She was delightful, funny, a good friend, and a fine mother and mother in law. She was very loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Viewing will be held on Wed., September 27th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Patterson & Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road in -Sandy Springs, (404) 851-9900. Funeral Mass and Internment will take place on Friday, September 29th at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody. Reception will follow thereafter.
