Family-Placed Death Notice

TARA MARIE DRUMMOND Tara Marie Drummond, 23, of Dallas, GA went to be with The Lord on September 13, 2005. She was born May 19, 1982 in Abilene, Texas and moved to Paulding County with her family in 1995. Tara had purposed her long term life's goal to become a Criminal Investigative Detective with the GBI or the FBI. After graduating from East Paulding High School in 2000, she worked at Vincent, Tally, Richardson Law Offices gaining valuable training and exposure to legal processes and increasing the desire for her goals. Early in 2005, the opportunity to continue pursuit of her goals became a reality when she received the opportunity to serve with the Kennesaw Police Department. She loved her co-workers, her Yellow Lab Daisy, her brother Michael, her many extended family friends, and her sister Brittney. There are no words that can express the depth to which she will be missed and there are no numbers which could count those who have been impacted by her life. "T" was special to everyone who knew her. She leaves behind Brian & Tina Drummond, Frank & Renee Spagnuolo, brother Michael, beloved friend and sister Brittney, numerous secondary family members, and hundreds of loved friends and fellow officers. In lieu of flowers and other gifts, donations may be made in her memory to the Paulding County Animal Shelter because of her love for God's creation. Plans are in work to construct a memorial along the Silver Comet Trail in the Pet Area Park. Viewing will be at Eberhart Funeral Home in Dallas on Thursday, September 15, 6:30 PM-9:00 PM and Friday, September 16, 9:00 AM-9:00 PM. On Saturday, September 17, 2005, at approximately noon, Tara will be escorted from Dallas to Marietta by hundreds of law enforcement officers from all over the region to honor and respect the fallen Cadet. The final service will be at 1:00 PM at Mount Paran North Church of God (1700 Allgood Rd, Marietta) and officiated by Pastor Brian Bloye of West Ridge Church, Paulding County.
