COLE, Thelma Winifred It is with great sadness that the family of Thelma Winifred Hunn Cole announces her passing on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the age of 96 years. Thelma will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Juanita, Astuti (Landjur), daughter-in-law, Beatrice. Thelma will also be fondly remembered by her 11 Grandchildren, Paashka (Abu Baker), James, Chrishna, Askia (Debbie), Andrea, Lisa, Abdullah, Mochtar, Ubusuku (Nicole), Rosylyn (Donald), Ernest (Gina), and adopted Grandsons, Mark and Howard, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild, sisters, Hazel and Constance, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and very special friends. Thelma was predeceased by her parents, Lester and Angeline Neva Hunn; sister, Evelyn W. Wilson; brothers Charles, Lester, ll, and Robert Hunn; son, Ernest Cole; son-in-law, James Jefferson, Sr.; God son, Raymond Smith, and former husband, John Cole. Belonging to AME Churches in the various communities in which she resided, Thelma served in many capacities and was especially honored to be an AME Connectional Life Missionary. She was a member of Greater Turner Chapel AME Church and also belonged to Church Women United in Albuquerque and Atlanta. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Thelma will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Greater Turner AME Church, 4650 Cascade Road SW, Atlanta, GA 30331. Pastor Toni Ingram, officiating. Instate 10 AM. Family and friends please assemble at the church at 10:30 AM on the day of service. Interment will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Sunset Memorial Park & Mausoleum. Memorial donations in memory of Thelma may be made to the Viola Jackson Missionary Society, Greater Turner AME Church, 4650 Cascade Road SW, Atlanta, GA 30331. On Tuesday, public viewing will be 1 - 9 PM at Murray Brothers Cascade Chapel, 1199 Utoy Springs Road SW, Atlanta (404) 349-3000
