Thomas BOWMAN Obituary

Family-Placed Death Notice

BOWMAN, Thomas Thomas Daniel "Danny" Bowman, 53, of Suwanee, died Thursday, March 28, 2013. Funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon, Monday, April 1, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory Macland Chapel in Powder Springs, with Rev. Jill Jenkins officiating. Interment will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. Survivors include his wife, Denise Bowman; daughter, Kristen Bowman; son, Daniel Bowman, all of Suwanee; mother, Betty Bowman Winters and her husband Jerry of Acworth; two sisters, Debbie Bowman Dean and husband, Tracy, of Powder Springs, Dianne Smith and husband, Anthony, of Dallas, GA; brother, Michael Edward Bowman of Dallas, GA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Thomas Bowman. Danny was born in Statesboro, GA, and lived in the Metro Atlanta area for 48 years. He was a 1978 graduate of McEachern High School. He served in the USMC at Camp Lejeune. He served as the Vice President of Manufacturing for New Point Media Group, and in the recent past, Network Communications, for a combined 18 years. He positively influenced the company in many long lasting and effective ways. Danny was a process, workflow and efficiency master who valued the company's employees, customers and company greatly. He taught many associates the value of a procedure to support a process and enjoyed creating methods to save the company money and to leave the business in a better place at the end of each day. Danny created experiences that will live in the hearts of his family, friends and coworkers forever. He engaged in special projects such as getting into the ATV resell business, heading up the landscape architecture committee in his neighborhood, restoring two Camaros, and conducting family genealogy research that resulted in a book. At work, Danny was determined and driven. At home, he was a loving father and husband. Words cannot convey the depth of his determination, care for others, loving heart, genuine selflessness or fighting spirit. For these reasons and many more, he will be greatly missed. In lieu of flower contributions may be made to The Danny Bowman Memorial Fund at any Regions Bank branch. Family will receive friends 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday and 10:00am to Noon on Monday at the funeral home. www.mayeswarddobbins.com 770-943-1511
