HICKEY (SHANER), Torey Leigh Torey Leigh Hickey (nee Shaner), 60, passed away on April 9, 2020 at Medical City hospital in Plano, Texas. She was born September 9, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of William and Jeannine Shaner. She later moved to Dunwoody, Georgia, where she met and married her soulmate, Kevin Hickey, on June 6, 1981. Torey was a bright and beautiful spirit, described often by those who knew and cherished her in a single word, 'lovely.' She had a giving and generous heart, devoted to caring for her family and friends. She was so proud of the family that she built, and she loved them all more than words can express. She was a wonderful mother to her two daughters, Jessica and Shannon, as well as a loving grandmother to two precious grandsons, Ronan and Declan. She leaves behind a legacy that can never be matched, a void that can never be filled. She was preceded in death by her father, William Shaner, her mother, Jeannine Shaner, brother, Mark Shaner, and mother-in-law, Irene "Chickie" Hickey. She is survived and forever missed by her husband, Kevin, daughter Jessica, son-in-law Matt, and grandson, Ronan, daughter Shannon, son-in-law Mike, and grandson, Declan, brother, Steve Shaner, and sister-in-law, Sandra Kay Shaner, father-in-law, Thomas Hickey, sister-in-law, Maureen Caplette, and brother-in-law, Wayne Caplette, brother-in-law, Raymond Campbell, and sister-in-law, Claudia Campbell, brother-in-law, Michael Hickey, and sister-in-law, Robin Hickey, sister-in-law, Kristin Hickey, sister-in-law, Rebecca Sheehan, and many other friends and family members whose lives she deeply touched. A memorial service will be scheduled during Summer 2020. Details will be provided to family and friends at a later date.
