Wilbur Fisk "Bill" PECK Jr. Obituary
PECK, Jr., Wilbur Fisk "Bill" Bill Peck, of Snellville GA, 85 years, passed away at his home on November 16, 2017 from an extended illness. Bill is survived by two devoted daughters, Michelle Peck Echenique and son-in-law Jorge Echenique, and, Denise Peck, and son-in-law, Todd Early. Bill is also survived by his three grand-children, Chelsea Echenique Wallace, husband, Jeff, Steven Echenique, wife, Anne, and grandson, Kenny Dowd, Jr. Bill is survived by his sister, Nell Denning and brother Perry Peck, his wife, Virginia. Bill was born in 1932 in Birmingham, Alabama to parents Wilbur and Bernie Peck. Bill grew up in Ben Hill, GA where he attended Russell High School. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a Civil Engineering degree. He would meet the love of his life, Pattie NeSmith, and married in 1957. They were married for 57 yrs. Bill eventually earned a Masters Degree from Georgia State University and worked tirelessly as a Management Consultant, building his own successful business; Technical Management Consultants. (TMC). He traveled all over the U.S. as Management Consultant for 25 years. Bill and Pattie spent many lovely years singing in church together as Pattie played piano with Bill leading the singing. They were active members of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, and Bill regularly taught Sunday School classes. Bill, also sang with a Barbershop Choir for many years. Bill and Pattie lived in Rabun Gap, GA for a while in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. Bill and Pattie returned in 2005 to Snellville, GA, as Bill finally would retire to full-time fishing - his passion. Bill kept a daily log of how many fish he caught from his backyard fishing lake. Bill loved to play pickle ball at the Gwinnett YMCA, write theological essays for his Christian blog, and fish any chance he could. He also volunteered at Eastside Medical Hospital once a week. Mostly, Bill loved his two daughters, his grand-children, and his little mini dachshund, Andy. Rest in Peace knowing the love of your life, awaits you. Services will be held at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, in Decatur, GA on Saturday, November 25 at 11:00 am.
