Family-Placed Death Notice
Mr. William A. "Bill" Paschal, age 81, of Marietta, died May 25, 2003. Mr. Paschal was born May 28, 1921. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Brown Paschal; daughters, Dianne Paschal Roberts, Marietta, Jayne Paschal Bragg, Acworth, Patricia Francis, Dunwoody; sister, Eloise Bowman, Roswell; brother, Russell Paschal, Atlanta; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Ellen Paschal Wilkin and son, William A. Paschal, III. Mr. Paschal had an extensive professional football career with the New York Giants and led the league in rushing his rookie year and second year in the league. He owned and operated Acme Sheet Metal of Atlanta; and retired in 1987. Mr. Paschal was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Marietta. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Ward officiating. Entombment will be in Westview Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Marietta, Ga.

Mr. Paschal,
You will be missed but never forgotten. Your friendship and humorous remarks are going to be missed. To have known you just in the past 5 to 6 years has been and will always be an honor. I can only imagine the loss felt by people that have known you so long.

You were a wonderful "big Brother" and I have such great memories of you when I was growing up. I remember taking the train to New York to visit you and Carolyn when you were playing football - what a special time that was. Then you took over Daddy's business and made such a success of it. We have enjoyed our Christmas Eve's with you and Carolyn over the years and we will always think of you then. Rest in Peace, dear Brother.
