William CARLYSLE Obituary
CARLYSLE, William "Bill" William "Bill" Carlysle, of Tucker, GA died peacefully on August 27th at the age of 92. He is survived by his two sons: David (Marty) of Pleasant Grove, AL and Tom (Lisa) of Tucker, GA. He has five grandchildren, one step-grandchild, two great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doreen (Vickers), seven siblings: Leslie Carlysle, Gertrude Satterfield, Betty Walters, Lawrence Carlysle, Alice McGough, Phyllis Hardy and Sally Novak, his daughter-in-law Gwen, and one step-granddaughter, Keri Ratliff. Bill was born on 12/6/24 in Pittsburgh, PA the son of Frank Lawson Carlysle and Alice Ebbert Carlysle. He served in the Navy as a Radio Man aboard the LST 495, which saw action at Normandy in the D-Day invasion. He was employed before and after the war by Rockwell International. Bill served as Assistant Scoutmaster to Boy Scout Troop 129 for 30 years and was a founding member of the Tucker High School Band Boosters Club. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday September 9th at 2:00pm at the Tucker First United Methodist Church with visitation prior to the service starting at 12:00pm. Rev. Mike Cash will officiate the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Tucker First United Methodist Church, The American Red Cross or The Salvation Army.
