Family-Placed Death Notice
DILLSON, Zanny Zanny Dosier Leach Dillson Zanny Dosier Leach Dillson, 56, a Marietta resident for 23 years, died Friday, September 25, 2009 at Emory University Hospital from complications with leukemia and brain surgery. She was born on February 25, 1953 in Monroe, Michigan, she and Michael Dillson were married on February 17, 1989 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was an active member of Saint Catherine's Episcopal Church in Marietta. She was extremely active as a member of the local theater community as an actress and a costumer. She served on the Sprayberry High School Chorus Board for several years. She also was an organizer of literary conventions in the Atlanta and Chattanooga areas for over 25 years. She is survived by husband of 20 years, Michael, daughter & son-in-law Lori leach-Forster and Denny Forster, Fort Oglethorpe, daughter and son-in-law Lani Brooks-Haymes and Malcolm Haymes, Marietta, son, Andrew Leach, Acworth, daughter Emily Dillson, Marietta, and son Alexander Dillson, Marietta, her grandchildren Tyler McAlister, Niko McAlister, Bailey Brooks and Morgan Haymes, a brother, James Dosier, Marietta, two sisters Kathy Canada and Tara Carter, Richmond, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. At her request, no public funeral services will be held and, in lieu of flowers, she requests a donation be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association in her name.
