SCHURIG, Elizabeth Elizabeth Grisham (Libba) Brown Nabors Schurig, 72, of Valdosta, passed away at her home on Friday, February 14, 2014. Born December 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late George Marion Brown, III and Elizabeth Stanford Brown of Atlanta, and she was the great great granddaughter of Governor Joseph Emerson Brown and Elizabeth Grisham Brown. Elizabeth was a graduate of the Northside High Class of 1959, was employed in the field of real estate, and was a proud member of the Junior League of Atlanta. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Howard A. Schurig, she is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth G. Nabors of Valdosta, two grandsons, a sister, three stepdaughters and several close friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta, GA.
