I was deeply touched when i saw the recent episode of the Residents. It passed a very strong message; we are all humans, irrespective of our variations we should be treated as a Single specie that we are; Homo Sapiens. As a future Obstetrician i was challenged by This story, it is now my inspiration to strive for perfection in my intended profession. I will bear her name in Mind each time i step into The OR to perform an operation and her story will serve as a Caution for me to work hard to avoid Casualty. Kira Lives on. One love bro @ Charles

I just finished watching an episode of The Resident "If Not Now, When?" The episode brought tears to my eyes. When I read at the end it was fictional but inspired by true stories, such as yours, I could not stop the tears.
I can only hope this episode wakes up all the Dr's that have prejudice or just don't give a damn.To Kira's husband, children, families and friends, I offer my deepest heartfelt condolences. It's obvious from reading some other postings that Kira was an inspiration and touched many lives with her love and kindness.
May you all someday find peace!

Praise God, This did not take God by surprise, he is in control. He knows exactly what he is doing, we just have to trust God in everything, I mean everything, even our loves one. Think about this. (The earth is the Lords, And the fulness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein.) we must leave this world, we were not meant to stay together forever, therefore, God has perfect liberty to take who he wants, he is God Almighty, dont get made at God just trust him in all His decisions, then peace will come.

My condolences to the Dixon and Johnson families. My heart goes out to you all. My heart is broken, so I can only imagine. Kira was one in a million. It was a blessing growing up together with the Dixon family. I wish we had kept more in touch. But the last time I saw her, she was so bubbly and was so happy to see my Sister and I. That moment will be forever in my heart. I'm Praying that you Charles, will find comfort in pictures and videos. Peace and blessings to you!

Kira I have always loved you..... As I always will Keekebee. To Charles, I pray for you and the children at this difficult time. I am sure that without any doubt, you will, with the help of God, Family, and Friends, begin to mend and heal. This type of transition is undeniably unexpected, and difficult beyond measure, but with the grace of God, I know with all certainty that you will be whole again. To the Dixon and Johnson families, Trevis, Ms. Dixon (DeeDeDee) and all others, I want you to know how truly Blessed I am to have experienced such an AWESOME spirit. Pure, genuine, sincere, are some of the many things that come to mind. That smile, that sarcasm, that beautiful mind... Kira did more in her 39 years on this earth, than most would do in two lifetimes. I will always love you, always miss you, and know that you will always be my Runnin' Buddy.
