Dear Family and Friends of Connie Maurice Lovejoy,
Shortly after I moved from New Orleans to Los Angeles I had the pleasure of meeting Connie. She was supportive of her son Mark and all of us who were lucky enough to cross her path. She was a kind, loving person, energetic, an optimist, an organizer of people and wonderfully elegant social events where she would “light up the room”. She loved life and knew how to live it to its fullest. Connie could “put it together” whether it was at the Hollywood Bowl, on Mulholland Drive, at Mammoth Mountain ski resorts or someplace you never heard of. I was greatly saddened to learn of her passing. She is dearly missed and will never forgotten.

Dear Family Members:

I just learned from Sandra Belle of Los Angeles that Connie died. I could not believe it.

I met Connie in Los Angeles, when I first moved from New Orleans in 1985. She was very close friend of my brother, Hilarion, Sandra and Bob. We socialized a lot together and she was invited to all of our gatherings.

She often spoke of her son and his tennis skills. She loved him so much.

I love her spirit and her beautiful personality. I can see her smile and hear her laughter right now.

Although we lost contact with her many years ago, I am sickened to hear that she is no longer with us. I moved back to New Orleans in 1992.

The last I knew of her whereabouts, she had moved to the San Francisco Bay area and was close with an old friend of mine.

If possible, I would love to speak with one of you to talk for a momemt. If someone can either email me a contact number or call me, I would like that a lot. My number is 504-523-5315 and email is [email protected].

My heart is so sad.

Lovejoy Family, I am a friend of Connie who heard of her death just a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t believe the news bearer, thinking they must certainly be mistaken. While at work today, I decided to do a web search and found the guest book. I vividly remember the night Connie and I met; it was at a party at which I was feeling light-headed.
She came to my rescue with such concern. It was the beginning of an enduring sisterly friendship spanning the late 70’s through the mid 90’s. Although I had not seen or heard from Connie for the last few years, I will continue to cherish many wonderful memories of our times hangin’ together. Please know that caring thoughts and heartfelt sympathy are with you.

Much love always,

Michael Adams

To: Mrs. Pearl Cleaves and family

May the God of all comfort, peace and strength continually sustain you as you embrace His love. My prayer is that moment by moment, day by day ; you walk in His presence, power, and purpose. May the love and laughter always bless your memories of Connie. And above all - Trust in the Lord and rejoice knowing that precious in the sight of the Lord is the death (transition) of his saints; for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

My heartfelt sympathy to you and friends. I was so saddened to learn Connie has gone on to glory. My fondest memories of her are the talent shows we used to perform in at the CCC Camp Reunions every summer. Connie was always the shining singing star! "Very." I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my Beautiful Sister and childhood friend. As I have thought about Connie --and her sisters-- over the years, my memories are of good times, fun, and laughter. I will always feel that my life has been greatly enriched, growing up with Connie, in those impressionable young years.
I love you, Connie.....and thanks...
