Family-Placed Death Notice

McCLURE, Nancy Mrs. Nancy Jean McClure January 17, 1936 - February 25, 2010 Mrs. McClure passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010, after an extended battle with breast cancer. She worked for several years at Grady Hospital while her husband attended Georgia Tech and she later formed her own business as an interior decorator and floral designer for weddings. She was an avid tennis player and participated in ALTA tournaments for many years and she also enjoyed all activities with her grandchildren. Mrs. McClure was a long-time member of Briarlake Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and an older brother. Mrs. McClure is survived by her husband of 52 years, William F. McClure; two sons, Mark W. McClure, wife Joanne, and children, Andrea and Dylan, Eric D. McClure, wife Beth, and children, Morgan and Jacob; and sister, Linda Lawson. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 1st at Briarlake Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Sunday School Class, c/o Briarlake Baptist Church, 3715 LaVista Road, Decatur, GA 30033 or Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive, Atlanta, GA 30319. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 28th from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur.

I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's death. She was a kind, sweet beautiful Southern Lady and will be missed by many. Even though I moved away, I thought of her often.
