Family-Placed Death Notice

PATTERSON, Patricia Patricia Brooks Patterson, 83, of Atlanta, GA passed away on March 3, 2010. She was a loyal and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. Patterson, with whom she was happily married for fifty-four years. She is survived by her daughters, Amy P. Alberson, Louise P. Gardner, Patricia T. Patterson, her son, T. Brooks Patterson and her sister, Margaret B. Brown. She was a loving grandmother to Catherine, Elizabeth, Anna, Ryan, Sarah Brooks, Rebecca, Kelly, Chase, Jennings, and Robert and a loving great-grandmother to Molly, Austin, Corinne, and Candler. The greatest gift that she gave her family was a faith and commitment to Jesus Christ. She was a Life Master Bridge player who played weekly with her many bridge friends. She will be missed by all. She was born and raised in Ft. Walton Beach, FL where the Brooks family was one of its founders. She never lost her love of Ft. Walton's white sandy beaches and the emerald green water. She always considered Ft. Walton Beach her home where she will be laid to rest at the Brooks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., Sandy Springs, on Friday, March 5 between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
