Dear Uncle Jerry and Cousins, We are so sorry for your loss. Aunt Polly was a wonderful person with an infectious love of life. She always had a smile for everyone. She and I had an impromptu dance one night at Mom's house in the family room when recently up here on The Cape. I'll treasure that memory for a long time.
May you all find peace and strength during this sad time.
Love,
Bill, Jeanne and Steve from Cape Cod, Mass.

How grateful we are for the annual Cape Cod visits with Aunt Polly & Uncle Jerry. Polly beaming her beautiful smile, organizing photo ops, sharing stories of her children and grandchildren. We'll treasure this memory of Polly dancing at Irene's memorial just a few weeks ago - sharing her zest for life and cheering us on. What an example she has given us to follow! Sending all our love to Jerry and our McCarthy cousins.

Uncle Jerry, Michael, Kathy, Dan and Mary,
Our hearts go out to all of you. We were so sorry to hear of Aunt Pauline's passing but thankful it was peaceful. I can't tell you how blessed we were to have had our weekend in Vermont in June. We've been lucky to have seen Jerry and Pauline nearly every year and the trip to Vermont was a godsend to Kevin and me, never thinking it would be our last visit with Pauline. We can only imagine the depth of your sorry upon losing someone so vibrant, positive and close to all of you. Just know that each of you had a special place in her heart as she lovingly brought us up to date on all of you each year. We will miss her smile and warmth; she truly was a special lady.
With love and sympathy,
Mary and Kevin

Dear McCarthy Family,
We were saddened by the news of Miss Polly's death. She was always so fun to talk to at Dan and Carol's get togethers. She will be missed by so many of us! Love to all.

Polly was such a very special person to me. She welcomed me to Holy Cross and introduced me to everyone she knew. She enlisted me to Stephen's Ministry and she would catch my eye to wish me PEACE during the 7:30 mass from across the aisle. Always smiling, she was what Jesus asked us to be to be to one another,...Love.
I will miss your hugs, Polly.

Dear Uncle Jerry and family,
We were all blessed to have had Aunt Pauline in our lives. She took a keen interest in each of her nieces and nephews and in our children. As a child of the Depression, we marvelled at just how many she could feed with Aunt Eileen's chicken salad and have left-overs for the next day. She was a wonderful sister, wife, mother and grandmother and we wish God Speed to our "Dorchester girl".
Fondly,
Tom and Eileen Hughes, Peabody, Ma. and
Jack and Julia McCarthy, Quincy, Ma.

I spent 5 years with Polly as a Stephen Minister. What a blessing she was to everyone. She was a kind and sincere person. She always thought of others. I never saw her that she did not have a smile on her face. She will be missed. I will alway remember her Boston accent.
May God's peace be with all of the family.

Uncle Jerry, Michael, Kathy, Dan, Mary and families. The first word that comes to mind when I think of Aunt Pauline is happy. Always a smile, a song, a kind word... We were so sorry to hear of Pauline's passing, but grateful she was not ill, in pain or suffering. We all have such fond memories of times spend with Pauline, which, in time, will make the sadness fade. Love to All, Paul and Kathy (Hughes) Callinan and family
