Family-Placed Death Notice

McCURLEY, Gary Gary S. McCurley, age 71 of Dacula, GA died Monday, September 3, 2012 following an extended illness. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Dr. Frank Cox will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 6-9 PM at the funeral home. Flowers accepted or contributions may be made to North Metro Baptist Church in memory of Gary McCurley. Mr. McCurley was preceded in death by Brothers, William C. McCurley and Bennie F. McCurley. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Teri McCurley, Dacula. Daughters and Sons In-law, Kim and Roger Ivey, Dacula, Kay and Donnie Crownover, Lawrenceville. Grandchildren, Nikki and Todd Reeves, Buford, Reese Crownover and Max Crownover, Lawrenceville, Turner Ivey and Faith Ivey, Dacula. Sister and Brother In-law, Connie and Harry Wilson, Hartwell. Sisters In-law, Betty McCurley, Duluth and Geralee McCurley, Johns Creek. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mr. McCurley was a native of Hartwell, GA and had lived in the Atlanta area the past 53 years. In 1967 he opened and operated McCurley's Gulf Station located at 2080 North Druid Hills Road, Atlanta. It later became McCurley's BP Station and then McCurley's Shell Station. The Station is operated by his family today as one of the few stations that provide full service.
