Mrs. Dozier invested tons but never had to worry about the stock market. She spent her life investing in children. My family has been enriched as a result.

My children, nephews, and extended family members all attended her child care center (8 total). My grand daughter is currently in the Pre K program at the center.

Mrs. Dozier's legacy lives on! To the Dozier family, I pray that the Lord will strengthen and comfort you all during this difficult time.

Ray, Everett, and Tommy,

Words cannot express how saddened and shocked I am to hear of your mother's passing. I have known you all since the day I was born, so my memories could take up a whole book.

One of the things I will always love and cherish about Mrs. Dozier is that she made me feel like the most special little girl in the world. If I wanted ice cream, she gave it to me. If I got sleepy, she would put me in one of your beds until the grown folks finished socializing. If I got bored with you all watching those forever-lasting, Saturday-night wrestling matches on the big television, she would let me watch Petticoat Junction and My Three Sons on her personal portable television. When I told her I wished I had a big brother, she told me Tommy would be my big brother. When I told her Ray wouldn't play right, she explained to me that little boys were hardheaded and really couldn't help it if they weren't as nice as little girls. When you guys would shoot pool, Mrs. Dozier would see to it that one of you stopped long enough to show me how to play. When I was around Mrs. Dozier, I was the most important little girl in the world.

In addition to being beautiful inside, Mrs. Dozier was beautiful on the outside. Pretty. Regal. Graceful. Classy. Beautiful smile. Perfectly coiffed hair. Impeccably dressed. That was Mrs. Dozier.

Most important of all, I remember how much Mrs. Dozier loved and adored her boys. All three of you were her own personal little princes. Not only did Mrs. Dozier have eternal love and adoration for her boys, she made sure that you all lacked nothing. Any one of you could have won a best-dressed little boy in Atlanta contest on any given day. Any one of you could have won a most-well mannered little boy in Atlanta contest any time. Any one of you could have opened your own little toy store on any day of the week. There were drums, pool tables, bb guns, little green army men, GI-Joes, racetracks, games, cars, trucks, electronic things, etc. Then came toys with motors and engines like mini-bikes, motorcycles and cars! Oh how I loved to visit the Doziers!

My main point in all of this is that you all are blessed to have had such a wonderful, special, one-of-a kind, mother, and I am blessed and eternally grateful to have had your mother in my life. Mrs. Dozier will forever be a part of me.

May the peace of the Lord be with you.

Love,

Patrice Brown

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Dozier family. We sat on Washington Road many years ago and waited for Kiddie Kollege to open its doors for the 1st time. Mrs. Dozier took Brenton and Brian in and I will be ever so grateful. I can still hear her now saying "Now Mom"... She will be missed.

My prayers and condolences to Tommy, Everett, Ray and the entire Dozier family.

Some of my earliest and fondest childhood memories are of the weekends our families spent together either at your house or ours. May she rest in sweet, sweet peace...
