It was not only my pleasure to know Greg, but to play with him in high school, to play against him in college, and to share the experience of our sons playing for Tucker High School was exceptional. I waited to write this, as I attended Greg's home-going on Tuesday, a True Celebration of Life, which was Greg's character! While we all will miss him, I thank GOD that we had the values of family (especially father-hood), friendship, and experienced the HBCU experience in our lives. Greg was a model brother, father, educator, athlete, friend and GOD fearing MAN! To the McCrary family, as always GRIFFIN is home and we love you! To the children and family of Greg, our deepest condolence. Greg was a wonderful person and great father; he was great cook too, but more than anything he was a proud father. He would email me to keep me up with the success of his kids, I would always tell him go ahead poke that chest out and pat yourself on the back….the last email he told me that the empty nest was hitting him and that he just didn't know what to do with himself…..I will miss Greg as he was a good person. I attended Clark with Greg and always thought that he was a great person. A Gentle Giant. when I first got to Clark and saw the football team walk through campus, Greg and "Blood" Wilson were the 2 biggest brothers I remember, and I know they were tight.
