To the Ransom family,
I share in the loss of your love one. I have only met Anita on a couple of occassions while visiting with Connie while at marcus's Wedding. God only knows the time and the hour. We must continue to allow God to be the head of our life. My prayers are with you.

I am Anita Ransom's older sister. On behalf of our family, I want to
thank everyone for their beautiful comments regarding my sister. As my brother Ken said at Anita's homegoing service, our family has suffered a great loss. Anita was our Rock. Sean is back at school, Chester is back at work, we are all back at work. I want every one to know that we appreciate your prayers and we will take care of Chester and Sean for Nita. We love you all and we know that God's grace is sufficient.

Anita and I were in the same group at HP, and she was one of the most pleasant, cheerful, positive people I've ever had the opportunity to work with. No matter what the situation, she always had a calm way about her, which I'm sure reflects her strong faith. My prayers go out to Sean, Chester, and the rest of her family. God bless you, Scot

Chester and Sean - No matter how sincere, words cannot ease the pain of your loss. Have faith, like Anita, that you will see each other again. Know that Anita touched so many lives in such a positive way that she brought sunshine to troubled souls.
Harold Robbins wrote in "A Stone for Danny Fisher" that to live in the hearts of others is to live forever. Anita is alive and well in the hearts of all her family, friends, and co-workers. We will miss her smile, her laughter, her quiet strength, and the shining light of the Lord in her ways.
You are in my prayers.

The Roman statesman and playwright Seneca said, "The day which we fear as our last is but the birthday of eternity." Anita has been born into eternity now. And though her life lives on through those she touched, we miss her already.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. May God bless and keep the family.

To Chester and Sean,
May I express my deepest sympathies and most heartfelt sorrow for your loss. As a former HP employee, I worked with Anita. While I've not seen her for several years, I recall that she was a good-hearted, strong-willed individual. A good woman has gone to be with the Lord.
May God strengthen you and give you peace.

My brother & I both shared a friendship with Anita through HP, as did so many. She & my brother became friends first working in Medical Fireman in 1987, and I soon followed at HP in 1988. No matter where we were at HP, the friendship was always there. Always a smile, always an encouraging word. There were 3 things I remember most: she loved Chester and Sean, she loved her HP family, but most of all she loved her church and her God. A true woman of faith: she went from the arms of her family to the arms of our Heavenly Father. Anita, you have perfect peace and are whole - Praise God! We will miss you so much! Save us a place and we'll see you soon. Nancy Hilbun Lord and Andy Hilbun

Hello Chester
It has been a long time and I wish it was for a different reason that I am writing. You were always very serious about what you did in life, so I know she was well taken care of, well provided for and well loved. I pray that in the days ahead you and your son rely on the strength of God, family, and friends as you mourn the loss of your loved one.

It's hard to believe that Anita is no longer with us--I was so saddened to hear of her quick illness and my thoughts and prayers have been with all of you since I heard the news. I knew Anita in our early years at HP and I always thought she was a very special lady--obviously, I had no idea! She will be missed in this world, but we will look forward to seeing her again.

I was saddened to hear about the loss of such a great person. I worked with Anita shortly after college so I was a little younger than her and many of my team members. I always thought of her as a "Mother figure" -- always sharing with me motherly advice and words of wisdom. Also, as mentioned by many others, I too remember her precious smile. She will be truly missed.
May GOD continue to strengthen the family as they adjust to their loved one's transition...

I was deeply saddened when I heard about the loss of a lady of excellence. Anita touched so many of our lives we all will miss her smile, her words of encouragement but we will never forget her and the impact that she had on our lives. The day of her passing was a joyful day in heaven as Jesus ushered her into the gates of heaven and the angels began to sing as Jesus told her "Well done my good and faithful servant well done".
Forever grateful for knowing a fine lady

Life is about passages, journeys, laughs and tears...but mostly it is about friends and family that have touched your soul who have left their mark that can never be forgotten. Chester and Sean, you knew the special person that touched your life in so many ways. But I hope you can feel happiness in that your wife and mother touched so many other lifes as well. Reading all the entries in the guest book is a reminder to all of us how one person touched so many lifes in such a positive way. We are going to miss you, lady. We are going to miss you.

I worked with Anita at HP on and off for several years, and she was simply a wonderful person.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time. I worked with Anita at HP, she was a good friend, she was always personally supportive and gave great care to her friends. Her smile could lift my spirits on rough days. She always encouraged me to pursue the greater good in the things that I did outside the office. Now, she's an Angel where she can pursue the greater good everywhere.

To Chester and Sean, what I remember most about my niece, Anita is her smile, always remembering my mother with a pie (sugarless)and how she was the contact to the entire family, especially her sisters, brother and father. She was such a sweet person, and I will miss her. Please know that God knows and cares about you and what you are going through. He is all of our salvation and peace will be yours. I was shocked and saddened to hear of my young cousin Anita's sudden passing. I've thought about the last time I saw her smiling face. We remember Anita's sweet smiles, peaceful personality and love of our Lord. God bless you all.

Chester and Sean,
Words alone cannot express the sadness I felt upon hearing about Anita's illness and sudden passing. I knew Anita for a short period of time (too short), but my conversations and interactions with her epitomized a person with passion, strength, caring, and competence. May the Universe reverberate with the many voices echoing the sadness of your loss -- may you find strength in knowing that she was loved and revered. Best regards, Carole.

Sister Ransom was our Sunday school superindent and when she would visit our class I liked to tease her and say "look out Boss Lady is checking on us" and she would laugh and have the most warm and loving smile. Seems God also loves the people we love the most and sometimes He takes them to be with Him much sooner then we like. But we thank God for the warm, loving and wonderful times He allowed us to spend with Sister Ransom. She is resting with God.

Most of my memories of my cousin Nita are from our childhood. Although I was closest to her younger sister Leslie, Nita was always around to make sure we didn't get into too much trouble. I remember playing at the Johnson home on Helen Drive (our granddaddy named the street after their beautiful mother!). In every memory of Nita, I see that beautiful smile. My prayers and thoughts are with Chester, Sean, Mitch, Leslie, Connie, Kenneth and all the members of the Ransom, Johnson and Ezekiel families.

Anita and I go way back with HP. I will always remember her smile and her laugh. She always put her family and friends ahead of herself. Although we had not seen one another in several years, she will always live in my heart as a special person God put on this earth for the rest of us to enjoy.
God keep you in his loving arms until we see you again.

I worked with Anita over twenty years ago in the Medical Group at HP. Anita was a special person, very strong willed, so full of faith, such a hard worker and dedicated to whatever she did. I am still in such disbelief but I know it is real. I also know she is with Jesus our Lord. I loved hearing the story of how she saw an Angel before she transitioned and went home to be with God. I live in Florida now and I won't be able to come and pay my last respect to Anita but please know she was loved well. Gwen

To Chester, Sean, Leslie, Connie and Mr. Johnson, Anita hired me at HP 7 years ago and I must admit she was not only my supervisor but like a sister to me, we shared so many stories about God our father, and about Jesus Christ His Son and I can't leave out of the Holy Spirit. We shared sister stories together and talked about our earthly families and we even prayed together many times. Words cannot express the heartaches I feel for the loss of my Sister In Christ, but I know that she is smiling and praising God. She loved her family so much and she loved HP. I have been praying for you all and I will continue to keep Chester, Sean, Connie, Leslie, Kenny, Mr. Johnson and her entire HP family in my prayers. Remember WE LOVED ANITA, BUT GOD LOVED HER MORE.

Chester & Sean, our hearts are heavy as we think about your loss. God needed a special person for Kingdom building and he got a jewel & sweet spirit. We visited her this past Sunday and she was in great spirits. We talked about TCC, HP and our love of Christ and His love for His children. I will never forget when she told us that an Angel had visited her and the expression on her face describing how beautiful it was. I didn't know then, but God was surrounding her with peace, love, and joy for her journey home. May the Peace of God abound in you both. As she stated "I'm up outta here!" Edwina & John Graham

I have known Anita for over 10 years. Not only was she a good friend to me and my family, Anita always had words of kindness and wisdom share. Grounded in her faith, she could see the good in things when you couldn’t. It's really strange to know that she is no longer with us, in body. But she will always be here in spirit. My heart is saddened that she is gone but I rejoice in knowing that she is in the loving hands of our Lord and Savior. Chester and Sean, I will continue to pray for you and your family during this time.

Anita, it's hard to believe God has called you to be with him in heaven. Your duties on earth were not complete. I'm sure you have passed the torch to another sister in Christ to carry out our dreams. I have said this before, and I will say it again, "Thank You" for being an ear when I needed someone to talk to. Thank you for allowing me to talk to Chester when I needed a man of God to talk to. I pray that God will continue to watch over and protect Chester and Sean. Don't worry, Sean will turn out to be the young man you knew he would be. God Bless you my sister. Dear Sean, Chester and family. My heart is greatly saddened by your loss. Your mother was part of our team at HP and was highly valued. From a personal perspective, I interacted with her regularly but had only two opportunities to see her face to face. What I remember about meeting her for the first time was that Anita exuded a lovely peace about her, and that I am sure was based on her relationship with the Father. May the good Lord bring you comfort in the days to come and for the rest of your lives. My prayers continue to be offered up; I am so very sorry for your loss. With warmest regards, Marc and Cora

Anita and I only started working together recently at HP but in that short time she impressed me immensely, not only with her work ethic but her love of life and family. I met Anita at HP many years ago. I worked with Anita in the earlier years. I was also adopted in to a group of a few ladies (Anita being one of these ladies) that had been at HP longer than I had, who would get together at least on an Annual basis. For us to stay in contact was important to all of us, but Anita was the driving force of these gatherings. Due to what we all considered busy schedules we could not all come together all the time, but Anita encouraged us to continue to gather even if only a few could attend. I'll always remember our last gathering and Anita remembering and telling stories about memorable times at HP. Anita will truly be missed and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know Anita. My wife and I were saddened and shocked to see this precious life taken before us so quickly. Anita touched our lives and our hearts over the last years that we have come to know her as a co-worker and friend.
When I was strickened with a eye problem that threatened my sight, Anita was on the phone offering comfort and prayers to a successful outcome. She sent flowers and a card on behalf of our group, but followed up almost daily until the crisis was over.
My prayers to her husband, son sister and family for your loss; but I am quite sure that God holds her close. He doesn't let the good ones get away.

My prayer is that God will direct your paths as you proceed with Anita's daily presence.

Anita was a warm spirit with the most beautiful smile that I have ever seen. I worked with her at HP and shared some real stories in the HR department. Her laughter was a known presence in the office and her spirit was one to be admired. May your spirit always shine and may God keep your family in peace. You will be truly missed.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Anita over the past 8 years with Hewlett Packard. We had good times and bad times, we laughed and we cryed. Anita was a very special lady with a lot of love in her heart for both family and friends and co-workers. We talked recently about the great time we had a few years ago, when Anita graciously opened up her beautiful home for a Christmas brunch. Anita was beaming with joy and pride sharing good times with co-workers she also called friends. We will all miss Anita's beautiful smile and Southern charm but we all will be comforted knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior. Anita will always be in our hearts. God Bless the family.

"There's One who knows why you are sad, There's one who cares for you. Just look to Him, and trust in Him, and He will see you through. He knows your loss and sorrow, He hears your prayer above. Each day He freely gives to you the strength of His great love." My deepest sympathy is extended to Chester, Sean and the entire family in the loss of your beloved wife and mother. May God continue to strengthen you in the days ahead.

Riding around town with Nita in her Pinto! Having a BLAST getting our clothes drenched at Flat Rock Park. Going to her apartment off Wynnton Road in Columbus, GA. Such fond memories from my childhood.
As a child, I thought it was so fun to be with my cousin Nita. As an adult I found her presence to be uplifting. Always a big beautiful smile and lovely laugh! She took an interest in everything regarding family. I love her and will miss her dearly.

What can I say, Nita was among the few cousins that never stopped contacting me about family events. She knew I was really missing my family and made sure I was included. I'm glad I got to see her on last Sunday, it was a pleasant visit and she was in good spirits. What I did see that day was a saved and spiritual woman who would face anything because she knew who her savior was, and in the midst of all that was said that day, she told us in that room that her God was a good God and would see her through. I gained hope that day and even though God still took his child home before we were ready, my spirituality grew a little more for being in her presence. I will miss Nita very much. To Chester and Sean, I know you two will be all right === with family, church family and friends keeping you.

I didn't know Mrs. Ransom very well but I knew Sean and Coach Ransom. I met her one time but from that I knew she was very nice. I met her through Coach Ransom and Sean because my brother was friends with Sean and Coach Ransom was my coach for 3 years. Although I never really knew her I send my deepest sympathy to the family and I just want to say from the girls basketball, and track and field teams God Bless and you are in our prayers. We love you guys. Coach, just remember soft like a snow cone and stay strong.

I can remember when Nita lived with us, back then she drove a Pinto. Nita would take some of her younger cousins, including myself places. We would go to Flat Rock Park, the Diary Dream and to visit friends with her. Back then, Nita would straighten me and my sister Tina's hair with a "hot comb!"
She always had a smile on her face as long as I can remember. She referred to all of her cousins as "Cuz!" Nita had a sweet spirit, a spirit that touched everyone around her. She will truly be missed.

To Anita's family: You are in my thoughts and prayers. I have known Anita for many years working at HP. She always had a kind word and smile. She was loved and will be missed. The angels in Heaven must be singing louder and sweeter now that she is there. God Bless you all.

Nita, We were best friend when we were kids on Helen Drive. When your Dad took the family to Okinawa I felt he took my best friend away. But he didn't, because in spirit we were always best friends. And in spirit we always will be. I know you're at peace with God, but I will always miss you.
Chester, Shawn, Connie, Leslie, Kenny, Mr, Johnson and the rest of the family that I am so connected to, May the Peace of God be with us all. He is the strength that will carry us through. He said He will put no more on us than we can bare. Let's keep our mine on Him so he can keep us in His perfect Peace.
Nita lives in our hearts. As long as there is someone to call her name, she lives.
Nita, Rest In Peace, my Friend.
I Love you all,
