Family-Placed Death Notice

Harold Lee Sanford, age 80, of Fayetteville, GA died May 4, 2006. Mr. Sanford was a WWII veteran and served in the US Navy. He retired after 29 years from Sears as the southeastern marketing manager and a member of the Fayetteville Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife Naomi "Jean" Sanford of Fayetteville, daughters Pamela (Billy) Martin of Sharpsburg, Linda (James) Davis of McDonough, Carol (Bob) Ford of Marietta. 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 1 brother and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his son Paul Sanford and his parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 3:00pm at the chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday May 5, 2006, 6:00-8:00pm. Entombment will be at Camp Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Sacred Journey Hospice Inc., 138 Peach Dr., McDonough, GA 30253. Carl J. My sincere sympathy goes to the family. I worked for Mr. Sanford at Sears for about 3 years from 1971 to 1974. He was a wonderful boss, a hard worker, and a dedicated family man. He loved his wife and children and was very proud of them.
