To know David was to love the guy. I had the pleasure of working with him for a number of years at Trust Company Bank in the 1980's. He was a friend to me and bailed me out of many a tough spot. Certain things about him I will never forget: for example, his personal Coca-Cola fountain apparatus under his desk that dispensed Coke with twice the normal syrup content; for example, his fondness for cold pizza; for example, his "unique" routine of arriving at work properly attired in a suit, then jogging back after work to his apartment in what is now Brookhaven in jogging attire, then having to come in on Saturday to retrieve his five suits hanging in his office. David, thank you for your friendship.

I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn of David's death. You may remember that he and I were friends all the way from WBHS through Oxford College and on to "Big Emory". Later, while David studied law at Mercer, I went on to UGA Law. After we both returned to Atlanta, we reconnected, and we stayed in touch for many years. Recently, I had lost touch with David. But I never lost my respect or affection for him as a friend. Please except my deepest condolences for all the Langford family.

So sorry to read of David's passing. We were classmates with a year's separation. David was a kind, quiet, student. I am so sorry for the family's loss.
