Larry will be truly missed. My heart goes out to Larry's family. If there is anything I or my family may do for support, please do not hesitate to ask. I will always remember when Larry and I played basketball together in elementary school. Larry was so much taller than I was; it was hard to get the ball from him! His playfulness will be missed. I am keeping your family and Larry in my prayers. May Jesus Christ give you comfort through these difficult times. God bless you all. Sometime words are just not enough to describe how much a real friend means to you so i wont attempt to, but i will just tell you a little about the friend he was to me... Although he was one of the largest people that i knew he was also one of the most non-confrontational, loving and compassionate people i knew. Big L you will be missed but the many days and nights we hung out will never be forgotten.Big L was and will always be a real friend to me.

I would just like to say that my heart goes out to the Pitts Family first, and lastly Larry was a cool person. From the first time we met up until now he has been the same quiet, funny, sometimes goofy but most of all himself and I will always love him for that and I will miss him because I know there will never be another friend like him. So rest in peace Big L!!

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul:he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;

thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:

thou anointest my head with oil;

my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

To Ruenell & family, We would like send our deepest sympathy to each one of you, We will continue to keep you uplifted in prayer. From your family here at Emory & Crawford Long hospital

To the family of Larry Pitts,

I pray the Lord comfort you in this time of grief. Larry and I attended Tucker High School together and I will always remember that smile. He was a larger than life person. Someone so big in stature but yet so tender at heart. I appreciate the times that we had together, the times he would walk down the halls at Tucker and flash a big smile, that smile was contagious. We worry not now because Larry has gone on the place we are all working to be one day. I pray for peace over your lives and comfort in the fact that soon we will meet Larry face to face and his smile will be brightened by the heavenly favor of the Lord. God bless you and keep.

Larry rest in peace, your work here is done. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving.

This is so very devastating. I had just re united with Larry no more than three weeks ago at Emory U Campus. We talked about our Tucker days and what we were currently up to. We exchanged numbers and I called him shortly after but unfortunately i was unable to re connect with him. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends during this time.

First, to the family I give my deepest condolences and know that you are in my prayers. Man Larry it's like I just saw you. We were laughing and chilling. When I heard, it was like... I'm just amazed. You were like my big brother always having some good advice every time I saw you. You know what though, it's good to know I have someone else working for me in Heaven. You were an amazing child of God never to be forgotten.

You've completed your mission down here on earth. You always told me to keep my head up because you knew I wasn't a failure. "Big L" I'm going to miss you. Save me a place up there with you, I know I'ma still need some guideance once I get up there. To Miss Grier all my prayers are out to you, Larry was so humble and loving and I know Im going to miss him, so you'll definitely miss him to.

On the eve of my 21st b-day we lost a very wonderful person. The ironic thing is, is I was just talking about him saying that he was one of the few people from Tucker High that I had not seen in a long time and it would be nice to see him. I was deeply hurt when I found out about his untimely death and even more hurt to find out he died in the manner he did. His death was senseless, but everything happens for a reason. Larry was too good for this earth and everyone who TRULY knew him knew that. I miss you Larry and you and your family will be in my prayers! You may be gone, but you are not forgotten!

When they say God is jealous God, those words are true. There has to be a reason Larry wont be here to shine that smile on our lives anymore. Sometimes God just wants his Loyal adversaries next to him. Can you blame Him for wanting such a great and humble person by his side?...I send all my love to Larry and His family in this time of need. I remember being in the halls of Tucker, late to class as always and having Larry by my side to walk me to class laughing and joking because we knew we were going to be in detention together. If I was having a bad day, he would be the first one to give me a great big hug and tell me that everything will be ok. Ill miss that glow that always came on his face after he smiled. I love you Larry, always Tiana

Larry was a wonderful and special young man. His smile was infectious. He just refused to let us have a bad day. He was like a son to us in the Preop at Emory. On his last day at work he came and told us he loved us and God loves us all, pointing to us individually. We now understand why he wanted us to know.

We also knew how much he loved his mama. We heard about his ambitions in life. He was such a big part of our day. He will trully be missed.

We pray for his loved ones.
