My condolences to Stanleys family. I just read the article on Facebook this morning and I am just in a state of shock. I am stunned and right now I have no words. We have lost a wonderful person in Stanley. I worked with Stanley years ago at Better Brands in Atlanta. He was such a great person to work with. He was a funny guy and always kept us laughing. My prayers to Stanleys family. My heart aches right now. RIP my friend, RIP.....

Officer Lawrence was such a kind and gentle soul from the first time I met him. He was respectful, a hard worker, dependable, and exemplified what an officer should be. He was a fitting example for the City of Atlanta Police Department and as a man. He will be sorely missed. We extend our prayers to his surviving family members and hope that you all find some resemblance of comfort knowing that he was well loved by many and missed by us all.

Thank you God for Stanley Lawrence, my first neighbor and friend upon moving to Atlanta, 1991. Unlimited Thank you's to Stanley aka Big Law for being the community(s) gigantic, yet humble Gatekeeper. Sir, your pop-in's at the Barbershop to check on mine & other's young men instilled great values & they will continue to make you proud, I promise. Your presence in our Villages will always ring respect, be honored and never forgotten. Big Law, may God always safeguard your spirit and armor your soul. My heartfelt prayers and condolences to the entire Lawrence family. Heaven got a new Angelic Security Detail like none other.
Rest In Peace Mr. Stanley Lawrence.

I want to send my thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Stanley. I first knew of Stanley when my hometown newspaper had a picture of him saying that the "Jesup Giant" had signed with my beloved Chattanooga Mocs. I saw him play his four years of college basketball and he was a hard worker on the court. He got everything out of his talent that he could and started on the best basketball team we ever had. He was sterling on defense. I only met Stanley a few times over the years but wish I could have known him better. God Bless his family.

Please accept this message on behalf of me and my family (The Goodlow's: Didra, Jai, Kelby and Micah). I absolutely cannot believe that you are physically gone! My dear friend for so many years! You were truly the Gentle Giant always smiling, serving, giving and speaking about how much you loved your family: daughters, mother, the kids at PAL and your job! Stanley, I will indeed miss your laugh, your love for people and your heart to serve others. May god give your family peace during this extremely difficult period. Stan was my friend for over 30 years. He always looked out for me and my girls. With Stan being so tall, he would make the girls jump up and give him high-five. Then he would give them money. Sometimes if he caught me getting off the MARTA, he would walk me to work.. Such a sweet, kind person. He will truly be missed by Underground Atlanta and the community . Rest easy big guy
