Dear Betty,
Brooks and I were so sad to hear of Charlie's death. We always loved running into him around town and hearing stories about his travels. He was always so jolly, and usually had a good joke! He and my father shared a great bond in their love of all things German. I think I have a picture of him somewhere at an Oktoberfest we hosted years ago. I will send it if I can find it. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to lose your only brother. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Dear Bonner Family,
I met Charlie at UGA in 1972. We were in the same pledge class in 1972 with Sigma PI fraternity.
He was a good friend and I enjoyed “joking” with him to get him to laugh. I always enjoyed watching him laugh.
Since he was local, he didn’t live in the fraternity house, which was beside the WRFC 960 radio station back then.
Due to his not living at “the house”, I didn’t get to know him as well. Just saw him at our social events.
Very sorry for his passing.
My families and our Fraternity Brothers condolences and prayers to Charlie’s family.
