Family-Placed Death Notice

Syble Marie Forcier, died Saturday, at age 78, comforted by her close family. She became a resident of Lilburn in 2000 after 30 years in Dallas, and had been a widow since the death in 1972 of her husband, George Elie Forcier, Jr., with whom she raised 3 boys. Besides devoting herself to her family, she had been an Independent Contractor, Carpenter, and Cabinet Maker, and was also a talented artist. In the 1970's, she attended Texas Women's University in Denton. Syble was born in Winfield, Kansas, the youngest of 8 children, to Chester and Sybil McIntire, married after World War II, and moved to Warwick, RI. She is survived by son, Dennis Martin Forcier and his wife, Barbara, both residents of Lilburn, and son, Mark Steven Forcier of Dallas, Texas, her youngest son, John Clark, died in an accident in 1978 and is interred in Dallas. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Cornelia Syble Forcier, 12, of Dallas, grandson, James David Dickey, 25, his wife, Natalie, and their new daughter, Kirstyn Adele, of Arlington, Texas. She also has many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A website will be established to share the events of her life with friends and family at www.mem.com. A memorial reception will be held on Monday, March 22, at 7 P.M. at the Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy (US 78) in Snellville, 770-972-3155, and a funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 23, at 11 A.M. at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church at 801 Tom Smith Rd. SW, Lilburn, GA 30047, 770-923-8667. Friends are welcomed after mass at the home of Dennis and Barbara Forcier.
