I remember this day 12 years ago when this nation as we knew it changed forever. We rarely ever went out for lunch, but we did that day. So surreal. We took a couple of hours off watching the news at Dynasty. I remember we talked about life, events of that day, & a bunch of BS. Miss you bud!

You are on my mind a lot lately. You left a mark on my life that certainly helped me become a better person. You were there during one of the most difficult times of my life. I will never forget you. I still have your picture on my bookcase. You hold such a special place in my heart and I think often of you and how you gave me the motivation to become the person I am today. I would like to think that you would be proud to have known me and be proud of who I have become. I just wish you had been given more time on earth so we could have seen who you would have become. We all love you and we all miss you. You are a light that death cannot extinguish. Until we meet again Jay Fire!!

I wrote something for my grandfather's funeral and feel like it is perfect for you too.

Should the day come that you and I are no longer running the same race, I will contine running as if you may show up beside me at any moment and notice that though I wanted to stop when you did and follow you, I kept going so I could tell everyone along the way about you; so it would be as if you never stopped running at all. Everyday you are with me! Thank you God for lending us this beautiful soul for such a short while, I held you in my arms when you entered this world and took for granted that you hold me when I left it. Beautiful memories will sustain me until we met again. I will go on without you as you would without me. Sometimes you are right there as if you never left. I could just pick up the phone and you'd be there... this is Jay... I will never be the same... life will never be the same...but life does go on... peace my brother... and peace to all that know and love you... so many memories my shining light...Forever... I can't believe it's been a year ago tomorrow that God called you home. You would never believe how many tears have been shed on your behalf. I haven't stopped missing you or loving you one ounce less in the last year. People say time heals all wounds, but I am going to need a lot more time than what I have had. Sometimes it's more than I can comprehend, so I just pretend you are still sitting somewhere at a poker table playing cards. We will meet again. Since the first day I knew you, I knew you were special. You still are and always will be. I will love you forever.

Jason:
How would I ever be able to find the words to tell you how much we will miss you? I carry a vivid picture of you in my head as you were always sitting to the left of me at the table, eating in our kitchen, playing cards, talking, laughing, joking. For so long you were a part of our lives, and I don't know how we will ever get over your sudden departure. You will always be remembered as a kind, easy-going, sweet, friend that I always lovingly thought of as a younger brother. My family will keep your memory alive everytime we say, "Yeah, c'mon!" like you always said it. I remember the first time I ever answered the phone like that when Chuck called me(I was still living in the house you bought), and we both laughed, knowing who that came from. We have nothing but great memories of you. We loved you dearly. Until we meet again...

Jay,

What an honor and a pleasure to have crossed paths with you in life. You were someone I was always so glad to see in the office or outside of work. You touched so many people with so much positive energy and anyone that knew you would understand exactly what I mean. You will be missed Jay and I know we will see you again someday. Rest in peace my friend and thank you for everything you have done for me.

Jason,
Thank you for all of the great memories. Some of the best times of my life were spent with you. ALWAYS there to put a smile on my face as well as everyone else around you. You were my first love and a great friend to me as well as my family. You have touched so many people and will be missed tremendously. I will NEVER forget you and the millions of smiles and great times that we shared. You have the most BEAUTIFUL smile. Until we meet again.

Jay,
You were an incredibly kind and loving man. Dedicated, hard working, very helpful and extremely humble. You had every reason to walk around the office like a rock star, and in my eyes you were one. But instead, you were the person that anyone could approach and receive a warm smile and helping hand. Always willing to do the difficult work or pull long nights and weekends. Mr. Dependable! I know for a fact that ImageRight would not be anything like the great company that I believe it is today if you had not come to work with us. All of us owe you so much. The extreme sadness that I feel is only magnified back to me 100 times over when I look at the faces of the people you touched on a daily basis at work.
I believe you were an inspiration to everyone you worked with, played with and loved. I thank God for bringing you into my life Jay. Your kindness and friendship will be so incredibly missed!

Bill Pledger

August 17, 2007

In the short time you were on this earth, you made an impact that will never be matched and never be forgotten. Though I know you are in a better place and would never want to leave there, is it wrong to feel the world has been cheated out of the wonderful things you may have contributed in the future? RIP... I'll see you again on the other side. I'll go "All In" for you in the next poker game we have. Later, Mr. Bill

Jay,
I owe you a lot and I will never forget you. If it were not for you, I wouldn't have the awesome job I have now and I wouldn't know so many of the truly awesome people I know now. You were a huge part of my extended ImageRight family.
I was stunned to hear of your loss. I still half expect to run into you in the office and share a laugh or two. I truly wish I had known you better and longer.

Jason, I was there when you came into this world, what a beautiful baby. Such the explorer you were. Once when I was supposed to watching out after you; you wandered across the street to the drug store and proceeded to try and buy a candy bar with a hickory nut you were maybe 4 years old. You knew you had to pay for it with some thing so you took the hickory nut out of your pocket to pay for it.The community helped you find your way back home and I was in big trouble from mom for not watching you better. You were loved and treasured by so may people which is no surprise me. My heart is broken. I miss you dearly, what a free spirit. Always up for some fun or trip somewhere. Someday we will be together again. Ya come on!I love you: you are forever in my heart. I've only known Jay for a short time here at work. The sadness I have from his passing exists because he was one of those people you wanted to know better. He seemed to be a gentleman, always kind, respectful and encouraging. A genuine, selfless soul. And from what everyone here has written, he was indeed what he seemed.
I wish I'd known you better, Jay.
