Wow. I send my condolences to the family. I hadn't seen Chuck in a while and was trying to look him up to see how he was doing and was saddened to hear what happened. Chuck always had me laughing whenever I would talk to him, making sure that I recognized that he was "The Chuck" Evans. I will miss him and regret that I didn't look for him sooner so that I might have been able to see him one more time.

Chuck and his family provided my family and I with a lot of great memories while we were all in Minnesota. We shared many laughs and so many fun times. I wish we would have been able to keep touch. Chuck will be in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace!

I want to expess my deepest sincere sympathy to the Evans family. We graduated high school together in "86". Boo was such a down to earth and low key kind of guy who will definitely be missed. May God embrace you all at this time.

I would like to express my condolences to the family. Boo was always a very polite and cheerful young man in school. He was a true spartan on and off the football field. I was lucky to have been a part of the class of 86 with him. He will be deeply missed. God Bless.

To the entire family of Charles "Boo"
Evans. I want to express my deepest feelings of sorrow for your loss. "Boo" was one of the first persons that I met at CAU. He always picked on me because I was from Statesboro. He would say that I had no business in the Big City. I know that he made so many of laugh every day. I will continue to lift your family before the father, that he gives your family peace. Charles completed one of many of his assignments and that was to be a great person and make us all laugh. Take care & be blessed.
Amazed by his grace,

Boo's teams he played for won this weekend just as he was taking flight outta here.....
GLENN HILLS defeated ARC 38-18
CLARK ATLANTA U. defeated (my)Morehouse 29-2
BALTIMORE RAVENS defeated Miami Dolphins 27-13
MINNESOTA VIKINGS put up a good fight but came up short vs. Chicago Bears 48-41 (maybe his heart was with Baltimore - who knows!
:-) )
Seriously, this was much more than a coincidence - quite a fitting tribute to Boo by his high school, college and NFL alma maters for the most part as he bade farewell ...until we see him again.

October 19, 2008

Chuck and I were best friends at Clark Atlanta University. Played football together. I thought about chuck all the time and was waiting for him to come to a homecoming game. This guy was a marine and loved pillow talk on the telephone with young ladies in a little twin size bunk bead when we were in college. This guy was a hell of a athlete. Could do a 2 1/2 flip off a diving board with precision. Chuck had a serious work ethic and would be up early in the morning on a drop of a dime ready for practice. Early morning practices sometimes dellusional from only one or two hours of sleep from the day before. We would make crazy comments to each other as we would run. "I am the Bionic Man" Or "I am Super man" and Chuck would say Nope " I AM JUST A MAN" LOL. Life is crazy! i am pissed that i will never get a chance to hang out with you again for old times sakes.

My sympathy to the Evans Family. I went to Clark with Chuck and we both were in the back field. The best memories of Chuck, was when he was clowning other cats making fun of them. He could do an impression of any of the other players and talk in that funny voice, while making those crazy faces, and he loved calling people "CRAB". Chuck had a lot of will, after not having the funds to attend Clark, he goes to the Marine reserves, goes back to CAU, complete out his years, and then bull dogg his way into the NFL. A life well, lived. God, Bless his soul.
