I just found out today that George passed. We worked together at MCIWorldCom and he became a good friend. Lost touch after he retired. I remember him as funny, wry, and always helpful. God rest his soul!

I only today (2-1/2 years after his passing) learned of George's passing. I'm deeply sorrowed with this news. George hired me as Network Director for Georgia in 1989 and was, without a doubt, one of the top 3 bosses I ever worked for. He was also a best friend and we shared many successes at work and good times both at work and our off-time. I learned much from him and was fortunate to share in his successes developing the state network, and especially the distance learning video and medical video networks. I'll always feel lucky for having the good luck to have worked for, and with, George.

George and I were friends for 51 years and started out at General Telephone together in Feb. 1969. I will miss him and he was a great friend.
We made many trips together and hunted together for all those years.

We are so sorry to learn about George's passing. My Father, Tom, had the privilege of working with George for many years at GA DOAS, and thereafter at MCI - he truly thought the world of George and was so blessed to have enjoyed his friendship for so many years. We saw George at my Father's service two years ago, where he was full of great memories, a witty sense of humor, and a continued love of the outdoors! Please know how much we thought of George, and I am only comforted to know that he and my Father are reunited again and enjoying a great laugh together!

I am so sorry to learn of George’s passing. We were neighbors on Earle Street in Greenville, SC. We had a 4 person car pool to GHS with three guys and myself. I learned a lot about cars and other things. George was always a perfect gentleman. He will be missed.
