AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. John Ernie Heywood Pearson, 60, son of the late Marvin & Jean Heywood Pearson, of Arsenal Avenue, entered into rest on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Trinity Hospital. In lieu of funeral services, a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date. Mr. Pearson was loved by all and never met a stranger. He was a master chef in the restaurant business since the early 70's and inspired by Merritt Taylor. Survivors include his life companion, Cindy Smith of Augusta; two grandchildren, Destiny and Kaylee Smith; and other family members and great friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rowland Funeral Home, 637 W. Martintown Road, North Augusta, SC 29841.
