Marjorie T. Skiles
Augusta, GA—Mrs. Marjorie (Ann) Thompson Skiles, 88, wife to the late Norman Leslie Skiles, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 4, 2021. She maintained a faithful belief in God and was a charter member of the Bayvale Baptist Church. She and her husband of 51 years worked with the church food pantry for a number of years until his death.
Marjorie retired from civil service at Fort Gordon where she met the love of her life Norman. Together they would make a happy life, helping and loving family and friends.
Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents: Olon C. Thompson and Eliza U. Thompson; two brothers: Lamar Thompson and O.C. Thompson and a sister: Edna T. Halverson.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter: Patricia S. Graham and husband George; two granddaughters: Erica Gates, Vanessa Jackson (Mark); three great grandchildren: Ashley Faith Gates, Kaylee Ann Jackson and Hunter Edward Jackson; and a sister: Alice T. Debow (Rollis) and a host of nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff of Heartland Hospice and Doctors Hospital.
A private family service is planned.
