Porter, I am sorry to here about your mother and I wish I could come to the funeral but I had to work. I remember how your mother would let us come over and play pool and hang out. I know how you loved your mother and may the Lord be close to you at this time of grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

I remember Martha fondly. She was filled with the joy of life, and cooking. She introduced me to seafood crepes, and inspired in me a lifelong interest in food preparation.
She was an original.

Dear Porter,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Native American Prayer
I give you this one thought to keep-
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do no think of me as gone-
I am with you still - in each new dawn.
