Lucky for me, I had the pleasure of being a student in Dr. Suarez's class during her first year at FAMU. She was close to our age and everyone enjoyed having her as a professor. It may be hard to believe, but she made MIS fun. In fact, I considered MIS as a career because of her. She noticed my enthusiasm and at the end of the semester she gave me her review copy of the textbook! This is just one example of her kind heart. I am truly saddened to learn of her passing, but I can't help but grin as I remember her bright smile, her sincerity and her energy. Please accept my sincere condolences and know that your family is in my prayers during this difficult time.

So sad to hear of Tiki's passing. She was a very generous and kind person working to make change where it was difficult and she persevered. I was glad to know her. She was very respectful to all.

It is a shock to suddenly come across this sad news. Tiki was a wonderful colleague, always smiling and eager to help. I still remember how I was greatly impressed by her infectious smile and beautiful personality when I had met her for the first time. I had accompanied my husband to SBI for his job interview and we had met her during the day. She was so full of energy and charm. We were at FAMU for about 3 years and Tiki was always helpful and friendly. I admired how she did so many things so well, and with so much enthusiasm and perfection. I am truly sorry to hear about this sad news. May she rest in peace.

I had no clue that tiki had passed until i saw picture in the obituary here in tallahassee i was very sadden to hear of her passing ive known her for years her smile and laughter lit the room i hadnt seen her in long time but i would always text her and she would always text me i was wondering why stopped replying to my texts now i know why.cedric i dont know you but youre in my prayers u lost a jewel god picked a beautiful flower and she will be missed but the tiki i knew loved god and loved to praise god i used to call her earings because when shouted they flew.im very grateful to have hnown her and i know she would want me not to be sad or upset she would want me to remember her and trust god and keep living.Death Has Know Sarrow That Heavin Can't Heal.Cedric may Gods love ,comfort,and peace be with you forever more inJesus Name be blessed.

Her talent, creativity, love, smile, laugh and energy touched us all. I will miss my sister dearly but I will treasure that I got to spend time with this angel. I went to high school with Tiki. She was always smiling! It makes me so sad that she is not here anymore to cheer someone up with her contagious smile..

I stand here remembering Tiki's beautiful smile and amazing energy! oh I will miss her. We shared a biology class at Mannheim High School and she made me laugh everyday! I will never forget running our mile before track practice. I was a sprinter and she a distance runner. I dreaded this mile except when she dance around me, with all of that ENERGY!!!!

I dont know where to begin, everyone knows how big and bright your smile and personality was, you were the best friend anyone could have ever had. Im thinking about your laugh now. I remember running with you in gym class, I wanted to stop, but you wouldnt let me, you ran with me so I wouldnt feel so bad and no one would know you ran past me twice already!! I met Tiki years ago when she taught as an adjunct at TCC. I saw her off and on at home shows or other venues where she was involved with weddings or parties. I had the privilege of taking one of Dr. Suarez-Brown's classes while studying for my MBA at FAMU. She was full of life and love and always had a smile on her face. I will always remember how she extended herself to me when I lost my aunt and how she sent a card with condolences to my family all the way in Detroit. I was so touched by this becuase in that moment she did not see herself as my professor but as a friend. This is just an acute example of how great a PERSON she was! My beautiful Tiki is resting now! People come into your life for a season, a reason or for a life time. I'm at a loss for words right now. I met Tiki back in 2002 when she started making cakes and she was a nice and energetic young lady. She made my wedding cake and we always stayed in touch off and on throughout the years. I last spoke with Tiki September of last year and I'm saddened to hear this news. ...I had the opportunity to meet Tiki by way of a mutual friend. The best way I can describe her is someone that inspired anyone she came in contact with. I'm so sorry to learn of her passing. My deepest sympathy and condolences to her husband and family.
