NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Memorial Services for Mrs. Patti Peterson Rice, 71, of Fieldcrest Drive, who entered into rest May 24, 2013, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel. Father David F. O. Thompson and Chaplain Alan Faulkner officiating. Mrs. Rice was a life-long resident of the Augusta and North Augusta areas and was an Episcopalian and retired from University Hospital as a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Rice enjoyed traveling, walking and admiring the beauty of nature. She will always be remembered as being a very generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Maury Rice. Survivors include; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Tony Rodeghier, Kissimmee, FL, Dana Bowers, Sharpsburg, GA, Tara and Adam Sherman, Cartersville, GA, Catherine Cathy Rice, North Augusta, and Diane Rice, New York, NY; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Patti Rice, Augusta, and Andrew Rice all of Augusta; seven grandchildren, Cody Bowers, Tyler Bowers, Savannah Sherman, Cas Sherman, Megan Hand, Kyle Rice and Zachary Rice; a great-grandson, Carson Hand; a brother and sister-in-law, James Jim and Harriett Peterson, Jr., Lynchburg, VA; a sister, Gayle Canaday, Johns Island, SC; The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service.
