Deborah Hill Obituary

JACKSON, S.C. - Deborah Moore Hill, 61, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan, GA. Deborah was born April 17, 1953 in Charleston, SC, having made Jackson, SC her home. She proudly served her country in the US Air Force. Deborah loved her family, her nieces and nephews, and her two dogs, Smokey and the Bandit, very dearly. She enjoyed animals, being outdoors, and on the lake. She will be remembered as a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and aunt. Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Maria and Albert Joseph Alsup, Aiken, SC; a son, Joseph Lee Moore; three sisters, Elaine (Tim) Gorham, Fayetteville, GA; Pamela (Walter) Allen, Aiken, SC; and Scarlet (Jeff) Batson, Jackson, SC; four nieces, Angela (Josh) Goff, Crystal (Bryan) Corazzini, April (Jeff) Gattis, Brandi (Al) Pleming; eight nephews, Tony (Amy) Gorham, David (Erika) Gorham, Steven (Shelley) Bowman, Kenneth Boyd, Chris Allen, Davis Allen, Brandon Allen, and Clinton (Sarah) Batson; fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews; her stepmother, Peggy Griffin Moore; two stepbrothers, Rusty McKenzie and Danny McKenzie; seven stepsisters, Penny (Robert) Franklin, Tammy McKenzie, Amanda Moore, Kelly Moore, Vicki Sundquist, Cathy Mayfield, and Connie (Mike) Osborne. Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Fleming David Moore. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Matlock Baptist Church in Jackson, SC. The Reverend Doctor Finley Limehouse and Reverend Dale Reeves officiating. Private family interment in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends this Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at George's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 600 Celebrate Life Parkway, Newnan, GA 30265, for the excellent care provided to Deborah during her illness. The Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234) in charge of arrangements.
