AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, August 11, 2015, Mr. Lester Ronnie Smith, 65, loving and devoted husband to Teresita "Maria" Smith. Mr. Smith was a native of Reidsville, GA. He served 6 years in the U.S. Navy. He retired as President from Thomson Oak Flooring. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Family members in addition to his wife include daughter: Jackie Beals (Christopher); sons: Michael Smith (Misty) and James Smith (Marie); grandchildren: Brooke Smith, Lori Smith, Aubrey Clark, Elias Beals, Zachary Smith, Ronan Beals, Gavin Clark, Randi Smith, and Jace Beals; sisters: Sylvia Van Giesen and Alice Ferrel, and brother: Sylvester Smith, Jr. (Junebug). A vigil service will be evening of Thursday, August 13, 2015 beginning at 6:00 P.M. with a visitation following vigil service from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Augusta, GA. A Funeral Mass will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Mark VanAlstine as celebrant.
