Margaret A. "Peggy" (Tyne) Stoia, 82, of Somonauk passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at her home. She was born February 5, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of John and Margaret (Beverly) Tyne. She married Dennis Stoia on May 11, 1974 in Columbus, OH. Peggy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk. She attended Trinity High School in River Forrest, graduating in 1953. Peggy went to St. Joseph College in Emmitsburg, MD, graduating in 1957. After graduation, she worked for IBM at the world headquarters in Armonk, NY. After marrying Dennis in 1974, Peggy moved to Somonauk and made it her home for 41 years. She is survived by her husband, Dennis of Somonauk, IL; one son, Justin (Jenna) Stoia of Dunlap, IL; three grandsons, Matthew, Thomas and Patrick Stoia all of Dunlap, IL; one brother, John Tyne of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Joan (John) O'Rourke of Hanford, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Gianna Stoia, and one sister, Mary Lou Ganschow. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk. Burial will follow at Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with a prayer service being held at 4:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the .
