Byrd, Joe
44, of Glendale, AZ passed away on April 29, 2013. "JOE" BYRD passed away April 29, 2013 at his home in Glendale Arizona.. He was born in Santa Monica, Calif but his younger years were spent in various Marine Corps Bases throughout the US. Graduating from Chatsworth High Joe and best buddy Wayne Weast moved to Az where he learned the skills of master mechanic. He was a renaissance man and could fix anything. Friends lined up to get special help from this gentle giant who loved everyone. He always had time for both young and old showing the youngest to color or tie their shoes to helping elders out of their cars. It is said that JOE gave so much of his heart to others that he did not have enough left for himself. Joe was preceded in death by his father Richard E Byrd who was a decorated Marine Corps Officer and his mother Pamela Broad , his step father Tom Broad.. Also his brothers and sister Darren, David, Brian, Doriann and Dennis. Plus a multitude of neices and nephews Joe was loved by all who truly knew him. His Viewing will be held (SATURDAY) MAY 4, 2013 AT 9 am , followed by the funeral Service 10 am at the LDS Church located at 5250 W Thunderbird Road Glendale Arizona. We are asking any who wish to contribute to do an act of kindness and post it to Joe Byrds facebook...Help us keep his legacy alive.

My "Joe Mater" I love you and will miss you. You will be with me always!!!! Life is not a matter of counting the years, it's a matter of making the years count!!! That is what you did JoeJoe - yes we all wanted more time with you but you are on to better and bigger things with more giving to do. I promise you with all my heart and soul until we meet again, I will pay it forward as you did to others help, love, comfort, and cherish (to as many people through my lifetime) Until we meet again face to face!
