Bruce Parke

Parke, Bruce
passed peacefully on Monday morning, April 14, 2014, after a year-long battle with illness. Preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Helen Parke, his first wife Ginny, and his son, Brad, he is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Cindy; daughter-in-law, Jayne; grandson, Nicholas; step-son, Reed Chappell; and two dogs, Sissy and Bear. Bruce was born in Flint, Michigan on January 14, 1944. He was a devoted family man who loved a cold brew on the deck in Pine. His grandson's teammates enjoyed listening to Bruce heckle the umpire at their baseball games, under threat of ejection, just like he had when his son Brad played. Bruce graduated from Michigan State University with a Master's Degree in Business Administration, and retired from Salt River Project. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Scottsdale and enjoyed all kinds of sports, but especially baseball. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th at 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Church, 10815 N. 84th Street, Scottsdale, 85260 (near Shea and 84th Street). Reception to immediate follow at the Parke residence.
