Harris, Edmund "Jay"
Surrounded by family Jay passed away at his home on April 28, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jay was born March 15, 1939 in Hollywood, Fla. He was a proud graduate of Miami Senior High School, U.S. Marine Corps, an Electrical Engineer from the University of New Mexico, with an M.B.A from Arizona State University. He worked for Motorola GED for 24 years traveling all over the world. Jay enjoyed sailing in Caribbean, playing Tripoley with friends, traveling, and playing golf. Jay is survived by his wife Gayle of 51 years, daughter Gwen (Mark) Schaecher and son, Craig Harris and six beloved grandchildren additionally Barbie and Mike Mees of Frankfort, Ohio and nephew and niece. The family wants to recognize the dedication of all the medical professionals caring for Jay especially Hospice of the Valley, the University of Arizona Cancer Center Dr. Lee Cranmer, and Dr. Scott Tannehill in Scottsdale as well as the love and support of family and friends over the last 5 years. A celebration of his life will be held on May 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Christ Church Anglican, 5811 North 20th Street, Phoenix.
